Sandman Suites on Davie

We stayed in the penthouse jacuzzi suite and had mixed feelings about it. To begin, it was very small with a disproportionate amount of space given to the jacuzzi. Consequently no couch or soft chairs. The suite was a bit shop worn but clean. Unlike other standard suites there was no washer or drier. Ask for ocean view if possible. The location was excellent with approximately 25 restaurants in a 3 block stretch on Davie St. Stephos (Greek) and Bin 941 (tapas) were outstanding. Kam's Singapore restaurant was also an incredible value. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. Couldn't have been better. We would stay here again but in a cheaper standard suite.

The hotel staff is very friendly and were interested in the activities we had planned for our stay. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in offering suggestions. The centerpiece of our penthouse suite was a jaccuzi tub which at first seemed odd being in the center of the room but was much appreciated after hours spent walking. The jaccuzi suite did not have a small sofa which would've been nice but we made do with the sitting chairs. I would reccommend this hotel for its great service and location.

the hotel is in a good location, but for the price you might find other hotels that have more amenities and more comfortable rooms. Beds were very uncomfortable and the linens were thread bare and very old bedspreads. elevators very slow

Fantastic location, great views

We had a girls weekend this hotel was in the perfect location to walk pretty much anywhere we wanted to go: Stanley Park, Gastown, Yaletown, etc. The hotel staff were kind & helpful and the room were a surprise with the full kitchen and fridge. With a separate bedroom area, it makes things a little tight to move around but manageable for two people. Elevators can be a little slow. Didn't get a chance to get our nails done at their Spa b/c they were booked up, so make a reservation early for the weekend. Pool area had lots of folks and looked popular!

Awesome Stay

We loved this hotel! The apartment style rooms make it very comfortable to stay for a few days with a family. The rooms were clean and well maintianed. We only had three negative things to say: elevators are very slow, air conditioning units are very loud and window coverings do not keep the light out. Overall we were very happy.
