Fantastic Value and Convenient Location

The amenities are sparse but if you're just in need of a nice clean room, this is an excellent choice. It's one block from a subway station, which was very convenient. I requested a room with a view of the Empire State Building and the room where I stayed was very spacious with a spectacular view of that landmark. I was very impressed with the size of the room, particularly for NYC. My only complaint was the size of the shower, which reminded me of a cruise ship. The bathroom was a decent size but the shower was very tight. Otherwise, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was beautifully furnished and the towels were oversized and fluffy. Housekeeping was also efficient and thorough. When I'm in a place like NYC, I just want a quiet comfortable room in a safe area and other than sleeping; I don't intend to spend much time in the hotel. For that, Broadway Plaza Hotel is perfect. I stayed out late on the weekends and had no problem sleeping in because the room is so quiet and the curtains kept it dark. Although there is no significant amenities like room service, there are a couple places nearby like Ray's Pizza that deliver and they do offer more than just pizza. That came in handy for some late night munchies. With regards to value, a friend of mine was also in the city and I went to his hotel which was located blocks from Central Park and Time Square and it had a great bar and lounge etc. and that is all well and good but his room was half the size of mine, had no view and cost almost three times as much. It made me feel great about choosing Broadway Plaza Hotel.

Was a nice hotel with a friendly staff, housekeeping great if you tip them. Bed was super comfortable for a hotel, was pleased. Had breakfast included which is a plus in NYC because everything is expensive. The location was not the best but only a quick subway ride to everything. You are only in your room to sleep really. I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed here with some friends for a nyc vacation. The hotel seems small when you first walk in, but the rooms are huge and the bathroom was a great size. The decor was nice and everything was extremely clean!! The staff was excellent and the doormen were very helpfull!!! The street is very busy during the day, but the shops close down around 7pm and its very quiet after that. Our room had a great view of the empire state building. The subway is only a block away, which is very nice. The location was nice because we were a short ride to everywhere. We were very pleased with our trip and the hotel. Would definitely stay there again and again!!!!

This hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff were very friendly when we showed up early. They stored our bags for us and got our room ready so we could check in early. They brought our bags up for us. On our first night we inquired about places to order food and they provided us with menus and reviews of several different places. There was always an attendant at the front door to call a taxi or help us with our bags. The location was perfectly safe. Anyone who thought that this particular area was threatening must not have seen much of the city. There were two convenient subway stations within a block on either side of the hotel, and Times Square and the Empire State Building were comfortable walks from the front door. We easily found places to eat and drug stores to buy any other items we may have needed. The floors of the hotel were fairly small (only five or so rooms per floor) so the traffic outside your room is very low. The room was very big with two large beds, and the view was unbelievable. From our room we could see the empire state building clearly enough to photograph the window washers on the top floors! I loved this hotel!

Great place to stay in NYC.

This hotel is awesome! Definitely the best room for the money--huge and clean and relatively newly updated. We got lucky and had an awesome view of Chrysler building and Empire State Building. During our tour to the ESB we were able to find our hotel which was kind of cool. The block was dirty and a bit sketchy at night--definitely could use a neighborhood revitalization. Walking down 28th in the flower district made things feel safer because the night delivery vehicles meant lots of people around. It's not in Time Square which for me was actually a plus. It's easy walking distance from EVERYTHING you'll want to see and very easy to get around as it is within 2 blocks of any subway line. I go to NYC about once a year for a girl's trip and we'll stay here from now on!!
