This hotel was off the beaten path but I would definitely stay here again. It was very quiet with only 4 or 5 rooms per floor and the service was beyond belief. The staff was so helpful no matter what your request from giving directions or hailing a cab for you, and the price was very reasonable. It was several 11 to be exact blocks from Times Square but I assure you the walk was very enjoyable you will see many things along the way.

My sister and I stayed at the BPH in December for 3 nights. It was our first trip to New York, and the stay was great. We were both a little leary because of some of the reviews, but I am telling you truthfully, I was not scared ever. Not even walking back after dark. There are about three blocks of wholesale shops between you and Macy's but it was great. We would definitely stay there again. The view was great, and the people were wonderful.

Nice room, spacious, good view of Empire State Building, excellent helpful staff, nice breakfast room and great coffee available 24hrs a day.
Our only complaint would be the location is in a little sketchy neighborhood. I would not roam around there at night alone for sure.

This hotel is excellent value for the $. However all rooms radiate around the elevator so it can be noisy if people are coming and going. The rooms are very clean and large, the beds very comfortable. Overall a good centralized location, the neighborhood looks a little rough but it really is just fine.
