Nice new hotel with much to offer

I stayed at this hotel in December 2008 and found it to be a great hotel. The hotel feels like it is brand new from the walk into the lobby to the rooms to the exercise area. I had a King room at a reasonable rate for the area. The bedding was new, the room was larger than most I have stayed at in the area, the HD flat screen was very nice, and there was free internet. The only thing that seem a bit unusal to me was there was only a walk in shower instead of a tub. I am not sure if that is the same for all rooms.
Overall a good deal for a very nice room. The hotel provides breakfast but you will need to drive for any other food.

I found the location a real plus as it is walking distance from several art museums and a great Thai restaurant. It was located about 4-5 blocks from the metro train system so it is possible to use this train to get there from the airport. Although the pool area was lacking in atmosphere, it was large enough to really do some swimming. The breakfasts (included in the room price) was large with a variety of things to eat. The staff was helpful and friendly.
would not stay there again

We were a there for a wedding and everyone experienced problems of some sort . Their computer system was down for over 24 hours and the hotel was paralyzed. Get a disaster recovery program, PLEASE!!!! The exterior entrances with exterior elevators were awful and did not work a lot of the time. The keys took 5 times to program to access our room.

Located in the heart of the city and across the interstate from Georgia Tech''s campus, this Hampton Inn location is a nice find for an affordable hotel room in the center of the city. Having stayed here a couple of times, I''ve found consistently that the rooms are clean and the service is great. The staff is knowledgeable about the surrounding area and the city in general and will go out of their way to help you get to or find out about anything that you''re interested in. If you''re traveling around the downtown area, the hotel is located about a block from a MARTA light rail station which will deliver you to just about any major downtown attraction. Also, the world famous Varsity restaurant is about a half mile away. Beware that Georgia Tech football weekends and anytime a special event is in town, the hotel fills up fast and can be a bit louder than most hotels, but for about $50 a night, you can''t beat the price or the service of this chain hotel.
