Check in late w/ the grouchy woman running the counter. Spare blanket in closet appeared to have been used and tossed onto the shelf. One of the towels had a black smudge on it, like it had been used to wipe a shoe. A/C unit was ancient, barely able to keep room comfortably cool - at highest fan and lowest temp settings.

The toilet backed up right away, but the maintenance man came quickly to fix that. Besides that the staff was very friendly, the view is awesome. The pool has a marina view. They must of put some money into this place as it looks updated. They provided "Bath & Body" products, which I love and definetly prefer over those cheap body soaps and shampoo's most hotels provide. I would definetly stay here again. Their check out time is no later than noon time which we loved as we love to sleep in on weekends. I'd definetly would say the staff made this a very pleasant stay.

I liked it so much I extended my stay there. The staff was very nice and the little town atmosphere out side of Oakland was very nice. The room was small but you can tell that they put money back into the hotel to make the room nice and clean. I fell that I got such a good deal that I got more then I paid for.
