Best Place to Stay with Young Children

  • July 8, 2007
  • Rated 4 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
If your child is old to get up early and stay up late, this is the hotel for you. Early admission, coupled with Monorail service near the hotel means that you and your older child can take advantage of less busy times, relaxing at the pool midday. Call at least 20 mins ahead for bell service at check out. Better food is available EVERYWHERE else, including in nearby Downtown Disney. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful; all are ready to assist you with any special needs. And we LOVED the comfy beds!

I'd go back in a minute!

We chose the Disneyland Hotel because we were traveling with 3 kids (ages 15, 13 & 5), and wanted to be close enough so the teenagers could go from the park to the hotel without us. It worked out beautifully--the hotel is 5 minutes away walking or by monorail, and the walk is extremely safe. Hotel couldn't be better for families. Only downside--the pool is brimming with small kids. Try the smaller, "adult" pool in the back by the gym for some quiet time.

We visited Disneyland for the first time and staying at the Disneyland Hotel is the only way to go. The room was clean and the beds so comfy. We are planning on visiting again this summer and plan on staying again!!

We have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel at Easter for the past 3 years. We enjoy the location and the services the hotel has to offer. The rooms are satisfactory. The children enjoy the area. I have always found the staff to be helpful and customer oriented. The hotel is not the greatest value for your money. You are paying for the Disney name and experience.

This is Handicapped?

"Our handicapped bed was so high off the ground that I couldn't even sit on the side of the bed! And the bathroom sink was so high and had such a wide rim around it that if I had been in a wheelchair, I would have been unable to brush my teeth etc. "
