Nice Hotel, not so good beach

Hotel had great location and great view. Close to downtown Ponce and La Guancha. However the beach was very dissapointing. Black sand and not so clear water. However the pool area made up for it was beautiful and clean. Also, included in the room rate was bicycles, tennis rackets, ping pong, playground for the kids etc. Would defenetly stay here again.
Ponce Hilton

We stayed at the Ponce Hilton executive tower building for 16 nights.
I had a skin emergency and the front desk was excellent. Our room
was oceanfront and the views of the ocean and mountains were
spectacular. We used the lovely pool and lounge area daily. The security is superb. We have already recommended this hotel to our
friends. The only complaint I have is that 1 maid screams to the other maids out loud every morning. And, they are too lazy to change sheets.
I had to call housekeeping to get my sheets changed. Otherwise, it was
a fabulous experience. We will most definitely return to this hotel.
A rental car is needed. Lots of places to shop, dine & sightsee.

Just returned from our stay in Ponce. We were not told when making the reservation that the pool would be down for service. Although there was a shuttle offered to another complex, it was very inconvenient. The beach was not well taken care of either. Lots of seaweed. We were supposed to stay two nights, checked out after one. Wouldn't stay again.
All you could want in vacationing.

Just make sure you have the time to really enjoy all the resort has to offer. From the time we arrived the service was wonderful, check-in was a breeze, and the rest just fell into place.
The staff were very accommodatiing, friendly and no demand seemed to much.
Loved our time there!
Excellent Overall Experience

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Ponce. The service was excellent. The accomodations were clean and neat. The grounds were immaculate. The pool and beach were within 100 yards of each other. We also found the value for money to be considerable compared to some of San Juan's nicer hotels, making the 1.5 hr drive to Ponce well worth the trip. Please note, though, that the resort is somewhat isolated. This makes for a wonderfully quiet setting if you are looking to get away from it all (as we were hoping to do), but you'll likely need a rental car if you care to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurants or venture into the city of Ponce.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
