hooters/vegas

I liked the layout of the casino, small & quaint. We stayed in the "Bungalows' & had a great view overlooking the pool. The pool area is sweet, it has 3 pools, 2 jacuzzi, fire pits with comfy benches. The outside pool bar is cool too.

This hotel was very dirty, smell in the lobby and pool area of raw sewage, room had a dirty bandaid stuck to the headboard and the surface of the nightstand, counters and desk were not clean. Would never stay at another Hooters Hotel anywhere.

Good Value, Nice Room, Orange Short-Shorts

I'm a little late with this review, as I stayed at Hooters Las Vegas in late January 2009. I'm writing this now because I'm looking into a return trip to Vegas in the summer. Here's my opinion: My room was very nice. Was it perfect? No. But I don't expect that when I'm staying at an older property for very little money. It had a king-sized bed, comforable cushioned chair, and a nice view out the front of the hotel. And since I booked thru travel website and there was some sort of special, it basically only cost $ a night. You can't really beat that. Further, the location is pretty nice, too. You're within easy walking distance of the southern hub of the Strip, with the Tropicana, MGM, New York-New York, and Excalibur nearby. One complaint. The $5.00/day "resort fee" is irritating and unnecessary. Just give me a total price for the room per night. [BTW, I did use the gym on site. Small, but adequate.] A bigger complaint is that this "resort fee" is supposed to include unlimited local calls from your room in Vegas. Yet when you check out, they invariably charge you for the calls anyway unless you point it out to them (I'm not the first to complain about this). Very petty, Hooters, and it jeopardizes future customer goodwill. Conclusion? Decent room + Decent location + Girls in orange short-shorts (if you're into that sort of thing) = Good Value.

Room issues

On our recent stay we were not given the room we reserved. We reserved a pool side Bungalow. We were given a room on the 17th floor. During our 4 day stay we were required to pack up our items an move to another room in a different location. I did not take a vacation so I could pack and unpack several times. The management was less than cooperative when we asked for assistance in moving or some sort of compensation for our time and effort. To top it off we were never called and told of the moving situation. We were made aware of the situation by the cleaning staff! We were told we must be out of the room by 4 pm. The front desk told us another room would be available at 4 pm. When we went to the front desk for another room key were told that we would just have to hang on to our baggage for another 30 min until a room was ready. We booked a smaller casino for a reason... The wait staff and secuity were very helpful..

my family and i were very displeased with the hotel. we planned and booked this trip with a very limited budget(basically down to the penny).we paid for everything with our prepaid visa 3 weeks in advance, had 250 dollars to spend in vegas(this is what we could afford)anyway, we planned in advance what we were going to see, where we were going to eat and we were very excited.i called the hotel to confirm our reservations for both rooms and to make sure i covered every thing i needed to,i felt very confident i had done everything that was needed, well i was wrong! we arrived at hooters around 530pm april 6,2009 and as we were checking in we were told they needed a 200 dollar deposit on each room.again,we were never told this anytime before so we did not have this in our budget.we live in colorado,we flew there,we did not get transportation because we were going to walk the strip.we even tried to fly back home the same day but couldnt without paying a substancial penalty.we tried explaining to the receptionist at hooters that we were not informed of these HIDDEN charges, she insisted that we were because the deposit is hotel policy but she would only charge us 100 dollar deposit per room.unfortunatly we did not have a choice,so we paid it.so we were stuck in vegas with 50 dollars to our name until april 10,2009.in our many trips up and down the strip we checked with the LUXOR,EXCALIBER,PLANET HOLLYWOOD,CIRCUS CIRCUS and several other hotels and to our suprise not one of them charged a deposit or needed a credit card.hooters is a joke! this was suppose to be a fun experience, instead it turned out to be a very stressful experience.
