Perfect stay for St. Pete Times Forum/downtown activities

Quick, friendly check-in. After the game, we LOVED the late check-out the next morning. Nice, clean room. It only took about 15 minutes (if that) to get to the St. Pete Times Forum for the game and back--a great alternative to staying in the pricey hotels downtown. Very close to Busch Gardens (we could see a roller coaster from the parking lot), but no noise/traffic issues or anything of the sort. We are used to staying at the Hyatt Regency brand, but found this to be a nice alternative with a comfy Grand Hyatt bed. Nice big flat screen tv in the room on a swivel to accomodate watching in bed or on the coach in the office section of the room. Lots of tech hookups for Internet and easy to reach/utilize. Plenty of space on office desk/bar in room. Would have liked continental breakfast to stay open a little longer, but option existed to buy gourmet muffins, sandwiches, etc. for small price after breakfast ended.
Hyatt Place is Impressive!

Didn't spend much time there, but I can sum up what matters most in a few words:
Check in was a breeze, even though the kiosks didn't work for my reservation.
The room was spacious, clean, well decorated and comfortable (including the beds), offering amenities such as an extra large flat screen and fridge!
We made a reservation for the hotel again in December, before we even checked out as we can't imagine a better qualtiy for the price around!
It is O.K. But not good for a Hyatt.

My family and I had problem with toilet leaking. Toilet papers were like sand paper. Cheap continental breakfast that did not include waffles or pancakes, but they were available for sale. It seem like the Hyatt hotel chain has decided to go the Air line way of cutting costs, but they are not affected by gas prices!
Just fine

Don't get me wrong The Hyatt is an excellent hotel, but this one didnt just do it for me, the front desk was very friendly but the cleaning ladies need some attitude adjusters, #1 they did a sloppy job cleaning the room, except for a day prior to our departure, im thinking they probably thought we checked out lol! The location itself its okay if you like the busch gardens but was complete pain for us having to drive from the north side of the town to the downtown area, and elsewhere, was not so sold on the neighborhood, seemed to be favored by just one group, will rather be in mix, checked out restaurants around the area and was NOT impressed by the level of customer service. Would continue to stay Hyatt but not on this location
The pool area was the most part crowded but the hotel did great with providing towels right by the entryway though some people seemed not to take notice so it was slippery on the hallway.
I really liked the plasma tv's in each room, just hope the hotel can invest in getting more cable channels
Great hotel for family stay!!!!

The stay at this hotel was very good overall. Great location very close to favorite restaurants
and main attractions. Five minutes to Busch Gardens & Adventure Island. 30-45 minutes to the beaches. Kids enjoyed the stay. Staff very friendly and professional. Only concern was the food which overall was good only offer the basics (Cereal, Toast, bagels, juice, fruit, yougurt, coffee, tea, etc). Everything else you had to pay (eggs, bacon, etc). Overall, location very clean, bed was comfortable and great place for a family of 4. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
