Clean and nice for the price

Me and my dog stay here every other Tuesday on our way back to Michigan from DC. It's a nice place, with great staff. Very friendly. The area does not offer much, but a gas station and a few fast food places, but when you are just looking for a place with a bed and a shower, it does just fine. Being a single lady staying alone, I have never felt affraid of the area. But, most of all, the staff is great and they hop to it if you need anything.

First off we weren't expecting much. Just needed a clean place to sleep after a few days of visiting Cedar Point. When we arrived at the hotel the desk clerk was too busy talking on his cell phone to be prompt with us. Second, he sends us to our room where we open up the door to discover the most discusting hotel room we've ever seen. The beds were half made, pillows scattered on top of the beds with no pillow cases and blood and what looked like feces on the pillows. The bathroom had not been cleaned, there were no clean towels on the racks, no trash can liners, ect.... DISCUSTING.
So we go back to the clerk and complain and ask for a different room. Our second room smelled terrible, the mirror above the sink looked like it had never been cleaned, there were no liners in the trash cans and there were flies all over the place. Unfortunately due to lack of funds we eneded up having to stay here. We slept in our full street clothes the two nights we stayed....for fear of cooties if we slept in our pajamas. Overall, this was the worst hotel I have ever been to and I wouldn't recommend it to a homeless dog.

The money we saved was worth the short drive to get to Cedar Point. We drove by all the reatuarants on the way there so we saw all of our options. Continental breakfast was very good. Lots of options. I would stay again.

We arrived very late our first night. Our tv didn't work in our room so I mentioned it to the clerk the next morning. When we came back from Cedar Point that evening they had a new tv in the room. The rooms were very clean and the maid service was great. Will definitley stay there nextyear when we return.
