Classic architecture, classic service

We have stayed in the La Mansion del Rio now on three different occasions, and each time, the service has rivaled that of any top hotel. The Spanish style architecture is perfect for a stay in San Antonio, and the location on the Riverwalk makes everything convenient. Whether you are interested in a family vacation, a romantic getaway, a business trip or just an escape for reality, it is perfect for everyone and a fabulous value.

My family and I travel alot and I must say this is one of the best hotels. We loved the french doors to our room, the comfort of the beds,& the staff was awesome. You must dine in @ the Las Canarias restaurant in the hotel courtyard. We only stay @ the 4 -5 star hotels and this is definetly for the elite. Most of the bigger hotels(in name) we've visited make you feel like you're just another guest,whose willing to pay that biig bill @ the end of your stay. However, our experince here @ Omni LaMasion was like we were more than just another guest. Thank you Omni LaMasion Hotlel for this wonderful experience. If the Lord allows, we'll see you soon

Location of the Omnil was perfect. Service was superior. Elevators were slow and on one occaision the elevator closest to us was out of order. I would definitely stay hear again and recommend the hotel to all.

The advertising photos were done so well you couldn't tell the room was tiny! We upgraded to riverside for a substantial price. This allowed us a view of the river at festival time with a very skinny balcony. Two people fit - kinda. The room had a fridge that was too full to use for your own beverages due to the fact it was filled with the hotels choice of what you should purchase from them at about 260% over retail. In room coffee maker was shoved in a cabinet and plugged in behind, such that it was nearly impossible to use, however , with determination you can produce a pot of some disgusting garbage resembling coffee. Hotel parking is not provided. Pay valet rates or park in public garage nearby. Room service got everything right- not once - not twice - well never.
Good bedding - good view - good location - friendly staff. Otherwise, it's an extreme waste of money.
Girls Weekend at La Mansion

We just stayed at the La Mansion for one night, but we had a blast. The room was beautiful, I had requested a riverview room, and we had the corner room overlooking the street and the river. It was a bit noisy on the street side, but not enough to be a bother. We did enjoy hanging out on our balcony. We went across the river and ate at Paesanos Italian resteraunt, which was suggested by a hotel employee. It was fabulous! It was slighty pricey but well worth it. We also went to Dirty Nellys pub, also a suggestion by an employee, and it was fun. Well worh a walk down the river.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. I would highly suggest to stay at this hotel. Its well worth the cost. My only compaint would be our breakfast at the hotel resteraunt. They were having some problems and we were told upon being seated that it would be at least 30 minutes for breakfast, so we had to go across the brigde to Pescas, but we had a lovely breakfast there. It was just a slight inconvienience. Overall, a great place to stay. We're already planning our next trip, and will most likely stay at La Mansion.
