We really enjoyed staying at this resort and thought we got our moneys worth.Very large rooms that were set up great for a family. One thing we were disappointed in was that they did not inform us that thier fine dining resterant was not open on Sundays or Mondays. We waited for our last day to go and could not since it was a Monday.Overall we had a great stay.
Great promise - poor follow through

We chose a 1 King 1 Bedroom Suite, sounded like a good room for the two of us. I have stayed in some VERY cheap hotels and motels, but I have never had a room in any motel that was this small before. The room had a small refrigerator and internet service, unfortunately neither of these items actually came with the room. Even the cheapest of rooms at cheap hotels have had these items for me these days. I am sure I can live without the internet and a refrigerator for a couple of days, but the bugs in the room were much harder to take. Suggestion for anyone actually going to stay here, Make a bunch of cups of hot water in the coffee maker, but do not use any coffee yet. We had to run 5 separate cups of hot water through the coffee maker to flush it of small bugs. If we had actually made coffee (which is what my wife wanted) we would not have seen all of the bugs in the bottom of each of five cups that we made. The pools were ok but not nearly as nice as we had expected. To be fair, if you would go to the lobby you could supposedly get on the internet. If they will give you access in the lobby and there is live internet cable in your room already, WHY would they not allow you to use it without a $12 per day charge??????? These small suites are connected to larger suites by a single door. There was no The bed was very comfortable, but I do not see us staying here again. Noise from our next door neighbor was very loud.
How do I get there?

I hve never been in a more confusing location in my entire life. When you arrive here, you need staff people to escort you from door to door. There is no other way - until you gradually learn the lay of the land and can walk from point A to point B. The room was adequate, the bed was very comfortable. I did not like having to walk from one room to another to get from the shower to the vanity.
I was on company business. Site construction was timed to start the heavy equipment every day at lunch time, which made outdoor business lunches very unpleasant. I'd stay there again for business, but would not stay there on my own dime.

This hotel feels like a condo development seated on a hill. The front desk clerk was very helpful and started off our stay with a pleasant welcome and a good map of the property. Our room was a king suite and was newly updated in location specific decor.
We slept well on the comfortable bed and great pillows and woke up to the sunrise coming up over the hills in the distance.
If you stay here you must go to the restaurant on the top of the cliff and have a drink/ coffee and creme'brule' (sp?). The night time view is spectacular, the fire pit enticing, and the seating very inviting for a relaxing nightcap.
Skip the mexican restaurant by the pool. But take a walk down to the american cuisine at the golf course, the interior architecture was very interesting and the guispacho (sp?) was over the top.
Practice parallel parking on the left while on a hill. This was difficult on the narrow passages, but added to the experience of "condo on a hill".
Great price for a unique hotel.
Superb!

Tapatio Cliffs Resort was absolutely a great place to stay. The staff was courteous and professional. We travel at least 4 to 5 times a year out of state so needless to say we frequent several hotels but this is the absolute BEST to date! It had all the amenities one can ask for! If it wasnt for me having to go visit others I would have stayed there in the resort the whole time! You need to leave for no reason at all. It is all there for you! Well kept and maintained. Very quaint, still classy, romantic and you can still conduct business there and have fun! This is the only place I will stay when i come to Arizona. The only downfall was the parking. There is more units than spaces to park. But it wont stop me from frequenting them again and again. Great weekend get away when you want to spoil yourself.
