Overall Very Nice Stay

I stayed at the Stovall Inn on Oct 10-11, 2008 with my two teenage daughters and had a very nice time. Rooms were very clean and updated. The restaurants (Tiffy's Family Rest and Coco's Rest) located very close to the hotel provided nice dinners for us. The continental breakfast could have been better. While they offered danish, donuts, toast, a few cereals and beverages (juices, coffee, hot choc) we do like the hotels which offer a wider assortment like hot waffles, scrambled eggs, etc. The walk from the hotel to Disney was about 10 minutes or so, but we actually enjoyed it. As soon as you cross Katella Ave you can tell you are in the Parks area. The streets, shrubs, flowers, etc are all so nicely taken care of that we thought it was a nice pleasant walk to get to the parks. You walk by Disney Paradise Pier Hotel and can stop by it to get cute photos with several figures sculptured into the shrubs (Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, etc). We also enjoyed the swimming pool area. The animal sculptures BW made in the shrubs in the pool area were nice. They have two large swimming pools and 2 hot tubs. Our first night there we watched the Disney fireworks show while hanging out in one of the hot tubs. Very relaxing way to end the day. While some of the other hotels on Harbor Blvd (Ramada Inn Main Gate) might be closer and just across the street from the Disney entrance, we liked the BW because we thought the traffic on Katella Ave was not as much as Harbor. Front desk personnel were very pleasant and took care of our needs. The store in the lobby also was nice (ice cream treats, etc). Overall, Nice Time.

Bring ear plugs. For the price, it was nice. When we first got there, I didn't notice how noisy the a/c was... My ears must've been ringing from the 6 hour drive. I've learned to always carry a bunch of ear plugs... 30+ reduction type that goes into your ears. All hotels have noise. Put it on and I couldn't hear anything except for a very slight whine from the a/c. The next morning I realized how noisy the a/c was. I thought maybe I should've asked for a different room but I didn't want to go through the process. Good thing was that the a/c covered up all the outside noises. Upon checkout, I thought I'd do them a favor and tell the clerk at the desk about the a/c. Wnen I did, he gave me this distant "yeah, I heard that before" look... like they hear that complaint all the time. I didn't have a decibel (noise) meter but I bet the noise was near the 'damaging' level. Something to be concerned about with young kids. Bad enough for adults. But they'll blow their ear drums out with their iPods anyway. The a/c was a 220 volt Goldstar... big one. I was thinking it was the brand but my old Kenmore a/c was probably twice as noisy. Bring ear plugs. But a decent motel! I'd stay there again.. but with my ear plugs. Kleenex or toilet tissue would work but only half as effective and they tend to fall out.

Very noisy hotel on a busy street. Walls are paper thin and rooms are a bit dated. Price was good, but looks like you get what you pay for. Not as close to Disneyland main gate as it seems. Expect to take a shuttle there. Won't be staying there again.

Had to stay here because I was travelling with a group of people. It was the noisiest motel I ever stayed in. The air conditioner is loud, the walls are thin and you can hear everyone walking on the landing outside the doors. The room apeared clean but I don't think it was because I got itchy bumps on my ankels that looked like bites that went away after I left there. Coincidence? maybe. The bathroom was gross. the tub is peeling, there is black mold on ceiling, dirt in the corners and tiny orange bugs crawling on the toilet. The front desk staff was very nice and accomodating. The kids enjoyed the pool area and it seemed clean. I was disappointed that they charge 69 cents a minute to use their computer though. That seems a little ridiculous to me. It isn't that close to the park either. about a 15 minute walk and with tired kids at night it isn't fun. I would stay on s. harbor blvd next time, the hotels were alot closer.

I like the fact that the hotel was close to Disneyland. It was in walking distance so we didn't have to pay for parking. I also like how I was able to check in earlier than the normal check in time. The price was decent for the location of the hotel beng right across the way from California Adevnture. I would definetly stay here again and I recommend it to others.
