far from the dowtown area

i never been to Vancouver until early Dec this year. I heavily rely on the review to select the hotel so I also wanna offer some opinion to those who are planning to visit Vancouver. Holiday Inn is a bit far from the downtown area but the location is still okay even though its close to the Granville Street where there are heaps of vagrants and homeless on the street. One good thing is the Airport Shuttle stop is round the corner. There is free wireless internet but the speed is horribly slow. ppl staying there are friendly. The front desk staff is not vry helpful. They are just taking it as a job.

Good Stay, Terrible Parking

Hotel Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Check In and Check Out were quick and easy. Within walking distance to parts of Robson and all of Granville, which is perfect for the nightlife and tons of resturants. There wasn't much need to drive anywhere for anything. The room was cozy and accomodated three of us. Theres a covered outside terrace on the second floor which was great for relaxing, hanging out, and enjoying the views. Also, free wi-fi in the rooms was excellent. MAKE SURE TO PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK! Never leave anything in your car!!! After check out, we put our things in my trunk and went to grab something to eat, after being gone for an hour and a half tops my car was broken into and our luggage was stolen. I'd recommend paying more for secure parking elsewhere. But overall, and other than the break-in, our stay was great and I'd stay there again.

Great location only.

Great location, downtown Vancouver. Very noisy room, across from a busy bus stop. Uncomfortable bed, didn't have much sleep. The pool has too much chlorine and feels like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.

close to art gallery

We stayed one night at this hotel and found it to be a good value for the money. The rooms were quiet- we were on the top floor. Parking is $14 for 24 hours, which isn't bad compared to what you would pay other places in the city. You can walk to the Vancouver art gallery, shopping, and restaurants from the hotel. However, we did have problems with the key cards, which would stop working and then start again. A replacement key card still wouldn't work every time.
