Dirty and Smelly

My husband and I stayed for one night in December 2008. They gave us a corner room with balcony but neglected to tell us there was a pet room as well. We were greatful and excited because we could have fresh air. The room smelled like urine and smoke from the cigarette but when the sun rise, oh my gosh, there were white pet hair all over the floor. Looked like they did not vacuum at all. We had to tip toe even with our socks on. We told the staff at check out and he didn't even apologize. He just said, oh we are going to remodel the room anyway! He was a young guy, no public relation experience what so ever. Now we learn to ask for the room that has no pets.

Good Quality, Expensive for Value

Room was near-perfect, with picture window to ocean views, small balcony and luxurious bed. A small refrigerator would have completed our experience. Ask for an even-room number to face the ocean, 7th floor or higher. Concierge service was a challenge. When staffed, the concierge seemed to know little and was short on recommendations. Recommend arriving prepared with ideas for activities. Very few restaurants in the immediate area offer breakfast--recommend the hotel's breakfast, is good quality but expensive. Lunch/Dinner recommendations: nearby Rock Bottom Brewery and Sevilla. Overall, a great experience though expensive for the value. We'd stay again, but search for a better-priced arrangement.

I had a laundrey "emergency" and the staff were very attentive and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. The view was great and the central location to the convention center and aquarium, as well as a variety of restaurants was a plus

The hotel is nice but in my opinion not a 4star. I was on the 9th floor facing the queen marry so the view was very nice. Every night I herd several police or fire sirens. After spending 150 per night I thought 12 dollars a day to park was a rip off!

I am glad we changed to be closer to the rest of our family and everything was as it should be. Mini maps of everything within walking distance would be nice too. Conceignor personally helped us plan some of our free time. Extremely helpful and did his job well.
