The staff were very nice. They helped us decide on where to go for a terrific dinner (The Bull and Bear), and pointed us in the right direction for shopping. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Intercontinental over a long weekend to sightsee and see a show. It is a beautiful hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was quiet. I slept great. We were able to piggyback off the free lobby wifi even in our room on the 7th floor and the desk had tons of good touristy information. We booked well in advance and ended up paying $* a night, which is good for a hotel in Manhattan and we were able to walk to a lot of places (or catch the subway from nearby Grand Central Termincal) or take a short cab ride any where.

Very Good Midtown Hotel

Good central location. Within walking distance of Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station. Clean comfortable room with courteous helpful staff. Bathroom was a little small, but after reading other reviews that's what we expected. Picture on website is exactly what bathroom looks like. Good deli/bodega across the street, as well as a great Pizza by the slice place. We would certainly stay here again.

Lovely Stay

Beautiful old hotel with all the modern conviences. There was a wait at check-in, but everyone was very nice and efficient. My husband mentioned that it was my 65th birthday and they upgraded our room. However, when we saw the room it was rather small and faced an alley. I thought it couldn't be an up-grade. The bellman assured me that there were rooms much smaller. The room was well appointed. We did room service one night which was expensive, but the food was exceptionally good. Would stay there again if the price is right.

Gorgeous spacious rooms, elegant decor, lobby with timeless beauty, restaurant for brunch excellent, bar serves amazing martinis. The staff at this hotel was beyond my expectations, from bar, res., housekeeping, conceirge, to bellmen, all really go out of their way. Always need scissors (can't bring on plane) to cut tags off clothing and used to calling the desk and waiting an hour for them, here, was less than five minutes. The doorman really remembers you and works hard to get you a cab. Overall, outstanding, high end service with a personal appeal.
