This place is GREAT!

This hotel was perfect for us, traveling with an 18-month old. She had room to play and the hotel provided a pack-n-play. The hotel staff were all very, very kind and helpful - all of them. The hot breakfast was very good, too. The Riverwalk, Alamo, Children's Museum, Buckhorn, etc are all within walking distance. It's just under the highway, then across one street, through the big hotel lobby or down another block to the Malln and out to the riverwalk. We felt completely safe making this walk several times each day. The only time we had to get in the car was to go to the zoo, and it is just a few minutes away by car. This hotel is small enough to be homey and the staff remember you and you remember them. They make you feel like you are not just another person filling a room. A pool would have been nice, but this is definately where we will stay when we return to San Antonio.

We had a great time!

The Sunset Suites Riverwalk was a great place to stay with quick trolley/bus access to the downtown area. The hotel was perfect. The front desk staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. One of the desk clerks was very helpful with a recommendation for a great restaurant in the theater district two hours before the show. Got right in, sat on the riverwalk, and with drinks was less than *. Awesome suggestion! Room was clean, roomy, and the bed was very comfortable. My wife said the trains were pretty loud, although I never heard a single train. I must sleep heavier than I thought. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting San Antonio.

This hotel was absolutely fabulous, from the moment we walked in the staff was extremely helpful in setting us up in our very comfortable room, getting bus passes, and getting our breakfast straightened away. I would highly recommend this hotel but would advise they do not have a pool and if you are going in the summer to san antonio a pool would be nice.

Nice and roomy

We enjoyed our stay at the BW Sunset Suites. It was a nice room with plenty of space, and it was clean. It was farther from the Riverwalk area than we thought, but not a bad walk. We would stay here again.

Make sure you use the ear plugs

I wish someone had told me that the hotel supplied ear plugs because the train whistles go all night.? Make sure you use them or you'll have a sleepless night.? The ear plugs don't completely block out the sound so if you're sound sensitive; this is definately not the place.? The building is well renovated and the rooms are nice.? The breakfast buffet is reasonably priced but the selection is a bit limited.? The staff is also very nice except the housekeeping staff.? I went out for 3 hours and left out the request to have my room cleaned but it was not done so I was left cooling my heels in the lobby for about 45 minutes while they finally got to my room.? Also note that the praking is limited.? We got the last space twice so don't stay out late.? Also note that it really isn't walking distance to the Riverwalk since you need to go underneath a highway bridge which can be a bit scary at night.?
