great service

we visited crestwood suites and it was our first time staying there. when we arrived we noticed it was a new hotel and were immediately pleased with the look of it. The front desk staff was very accomadating and friendly. the rooms were very nice, with its own little kitchenette area. we did not get to do much there as we were going to a conference and spent most of our time there but the facilities looked wonderful. the free breakfast was wonderful! they served more than the common continental breakfast you see elsewhere. they had fruit, cereal, biscuits and gravy, and homemade belgium waffles! we would definately stay there again and would highly recommend it.

French Quarter Courtyard Hotel

This hotel had the most beautiful furnishings of all the hotels I've stayed in in NOLA. However, the service was the absolute worst. Our rooms were not cleaned until the worst possible time, late in the day. It took forever to get the room ready for us to stay. Also, the front desk staff was less than pleasant. However, none of these are dealbreakers, especially if you can get a low price like we did.

This hotel is painted pink and in past lives it has served as a brothel and a gay bar.

The hotel has a pool and a courtyard, of course. There is a continental breakfast included in the price. Valet parking is $10 extra per night.

The French Quarter Courtyard Hotel

One of New Orleans’ best kept secrets, the French Quarter Courtyard Hotel is a European style hotel at the very edge of the French Quarter. The hotel’s real charm comes from its beautiful courtyard and swimming pool. The courtyard provides a quiet respite from the clamor of New Orleans and is an excellent place to unwind and chat with friends or a significant other. The Lagniappe bar is very nice as well. The bartender is a great conversationalist and my friend and I sat there for a few hours talking politics with her and watching a marathon of The Stranger on the Sci-Fi Channel. The hotel is pet friendly and the rooms are clean and quiet (if a bit bare). The prices are excellent for the proximity to Bourbon Street (just over $100 per night for a double). For the price you can’t get a better location with the charm that the Courtyard offers.
