Beware - undergoing remodel

We have stayed here several times because our son lives nearby. However, when we arrived in Oct., 2008, we decovered that the hotel was being remodeled and 2/3 of the rooms were in some stage of being redocorated. I understand that good hotels need to do this from time to time, but the offer of a discounted room rate would have been nice since we were not informed in advance of the construction and had to track through debris, not to mention having to step around the workmen. I was told by the desk staff that the work would continue until mid-January, 2009, so you may want to call before make reservations. We're staying somewhere else for our Christmas visit.

very nice, newer, HI express. We had a great room on a corner with higher ceilings, probably better than the average room, but the whole place was nice, new and clean

The Holiday Inn was located in a sleepy little town that was near a Safeway and restaurants. It was also about 10min. away from the Russian River (Johnson's Beach) and a LOAD of Wineries. The hotel staff was 5 star, they predicted our needs before we even asked and really went to every length to make us feel comfortable and at home (even at 10:30pm-I def. wouldn't be that cheerful at that hour if I were them). In addition to all of this the aesthetics of the hotel were great, it felt like I was at more of a resort than at a hotel.

We spent the night here will visiting the wine country. I would greatly recommend this hotel. From the time we checked in until the time we left was first class.A great place to stay.

It has been a long time since I have stayed in a Holiday Inn. I was please with what I found. It look fairly new, the rooms were very nice and clean. Staff ws helpful. Continental breakfast had a wide variety. Usually, there is little if any protein but they even had hard boiled eggs! My only complaint was the seating through out the hotel in that if you are a person of size which I have been and therefore look out for, all chairs had arms which can be a problem. It would be nice if they had a couple chairs especially in the breakfast room with out arms.
