Clean, Nice Staff, Lame Breakfast, Found 3 Bugs

Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. We had a fast check in and the staff was nice. The continental breakfast was muffins, pastry, coffee, and juice. Easy access on and off the freeway. However we saw a small bug during the night in the bathroom. Another of the same variety was dead in the morning on the end table and another live on on the end table in the morning. They were not bed bugs--I checked. And they were small. I left a note for the staff. Hope it was a fluke because the place seemed very clean.
Worth the Money

We arrived rather late, we had to be "buzzed" into the hotel reception area. The area seemed a little rough, but not too bad. The rooms were nice, although we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms. In the bathroom of our non-smoking room, I could smell cigarette smoke coming from the vent, presumably from another guest room, which might bother some people.

They're starting to upgrade rooms. They've added internet access to many rooms. Good service people at front desk.

The Ventura county area is expensive hotel/motel stays and you can't beat the Good Nite price for what you get in cleanliness and area safety, US 101 convenience. Just plan your activity around the hours of that 101 traffic. There are windows of road travel at the (speed) Limit.
