Cheap buy in city of millionaires

If you're looking for cheap accommodations in a city of millionaires, then this is the motel for you. It's convenient to everything going on in Naples, staff was friendly, kids eat free, and the pool was decent. Is there something wrong with the place -- well, yes. Don't get a second floor room, elevator is limited and not convenient. The room we had was clean but the bathroom space was equivalent to a hall closet. The air conditioner was noisy and gave off a steady stream of cold, moist air, the carpeting is worn, and the overall decor is dated. Oh, there is also a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom of the door -- great entrance for bugs. Hotel is generally well booked, we were told, and parking is limited, especially if you expect it to be convenient.
Beautiful Pool Surrounding

The pool area was very nice-heated. There were plenty of chairs, but the hotel was full so no chairs were available until we asked people. A mom was very gracious and insisted we could have her absentee kids chairs. It was a nice family vacation atmosphere at the hotel.
The grounds were beautiful, the front desk personnel were friendly as were the rest of the cleaning staff we encountered. Leaving a couple dollars during a stay isn't a must for good service, but I think it kicked it up a notch.
The rooms have outside entrances and the hotel does not have an elevator that I saw. We were on the second floor and faced the inside court parking lot. I preferred that to having a room that opened to a side street view. It was very quiet during the night and early AM. The rooms that surrounded the pool area had a little more foot traffic going by them, but their view was great of the grounds. Our TV signal was very slow. The toilet needed to be tightened down and our lock had to be reinstalled. Otherwise the room was great-complete with fridge, microwave, and hairdryer. The hotel had a restaurant, small bar, and small outside deck facing the pool. We did not eat or drink there for no other reason than we were out and about elsewhere at meal times. The breakfast menu had moderate prices $6-$8 range. Dinner prices looked to be $18 and up. They offer a two entre for one price if you dine between 5-6 PM.
This is real close to a small beach and close to downtown Naples. A car was a must.
We would recommend to stay at. Nice, but not ritzy.

This hotel was perfect for travellers heading to the Everglades to check things out, take an airboat ride and tour boat ride. It is an interesting drive and yet you come back to a civilized area without getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere. Restaurant was good but pricey.

I stayed here in Dec. 2004,2005 & 2006. Generally for 3 or 4 days just to relax. It's about 2 miles to the beach and 1.5 miles to downtown. Staff is good. Pool area is nice.Fitness center needs to repair their machines. If you want a pool side room you pay extra. Value is okay but probably $10-20 more than some other hotels in the area. I will be staying there again this year probably.
