A Great Location for shopping and theater!!!

We went to Chicago for shopping and to see a Broadway show. We didn't want to spend a lot on a hotel but wanted something clean and safe. We found this hotel to far exceed our expectations. the location was perfect for the parks, getting to the theater district and shopping on State Street and Michigan Ave. The front desk was very helpful with holding our luggage, offering bus routes, recommending restaurants and just being friendly. Our only complaint was the restaurant attached to the hotel. We went for breakfast our first morning and were a bit disappointed. It was pricey and not that good. They ran out of coffee and really didn't seem to care. The room was very clean. The pool is not heated, but was very refreshing after all the sunshine we got. there is internet available for free in the lobby for those last minute things we forgot to look up at home. The bus stops are right outside the door and we purchased a 3 day visitor pass to ride unlimited. It really was an economical way to go. We will definately stay here on our next trip to Chicago.

The hotel is is in a great location on S. Michigan. Right next to the Field Museum, Acquarium, Planetarium, Soldier Field, Roosevelt subway station, and other great attractions. For the money it is hard to beat. Me and my wife were a bit leary of the hotel because of the cheap price but we both agreed that it was better to save the money on the room and spend the difference at dinner, Cubs game, or on drinks. We booked our flight and hotel through travel website and had no problems at all. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 am so it was too early to check in. They took our bags and confirmed our check-in at 3:00 pm. 1 mile south of Magnificent Mile. Great walk. Just head North on Michigan and take in the sights, parks, restaurants, and the other great attractions. Go South on Michigan Ave. about 1/2 mile and eat at Chicago Firehouse Restaurant. (Get the porkchop dinner, unbelievable!) Walk to the subway station a block and a half away and ride the rail to Wrigley Field. Only 25 minutes and $*.00. Catch the water ferry to Navy Pier, only $*-.00 per person. I reccomend this hotel....

This hotel is exceedingly well-located; we were able to walk everywhere we needed to/wanted to go: restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and the graduation ceremony which was our main purpose in coming to Chicago. Rooms were adequate; beds very good. Room was very clean and the staff was helpful.

The restaurant attached to the hotel has a great atmosphere--you can sit inside or outside and pick from a variety of foods and drinks! The room was big--our daughter slept on a pull-out bed in our room so it gave the whole family some room to relax yet all be in the same room at the same time. We had a great time rediscovering the city with some family that was in town and will defintely stay here again if we can.

The rooms were big and spacious with enough room for my family to spread out for a couple of nights. We LOVED the location near the Field Museum which is exactly where we were headed. The pool is great--it has some good seating around it and you can see the kids from your room as well. If you're going for the museums, some good dining, shopping and Chicago sightseeing, this is an awesome place to stay! Another room in our party had a great view of Grant Park!
