"okay, but nothing spectacular"

We recently stayed at the Clarion. There was nothing terribly wrong, but for the price I expected some niceties. The towels, while thick had no softener, so the drying off experience was like sandblasting. I have seen much nicer bed linens on room at budget hotels. Also I expected to be able to watch movies in the room, but all they have is basic cable. It was clean and the jacuzzi in the bedroom was great, but I expected more for $150 per night.
We will definitely be back...

The hotel was GREAT and clean. The location was superb and the staff was EXCELLENT. I have never felt so welcome and had the feeling that the hotel staff was really intersted in mh vacation and stay at their hotel. We were greeted everytime we entered and left the facility, they were all genuinely concerned about us having a great time. They offered suggestions and made recommendations. The evening/night manager Mr. Shawn Watts and his team were excellent. We were able to upgrade our room from a back view to a stripway view with no questions asked. The beds were very comfortable and our room was always cleaned. The facility is very nice.
Thanks fo a great vacation!

I specifically booked this hotel for the indoor pool, which was closed the entire length of my stay. The hotel management is not customer friendly. I have been going to Gatlinburg for over 30 and have always enjoyed my stay until now. I will never stay at this place again. I will continue to go to Zoders or Garden Plaza (which also have great location and indoor pools and great service}.
Overall Excellent place to stay.

Great location. There are at least six steak houses within 150 yards of this hotel. Ober Gatlinburg Tram is across the street. Very clean and the staff was verg nice and helpful. Example, we needed more towels one night because we went swimming. They brought us towels within 5 minutes of call. They had an above average free breakfast. But, so many people eating, it was hard to re-heat you breakfast with only one microwave. The room was quiet except for Saturday night. The street noise did not settle down until after 11:30pm. Sunday and Monday nights were fine. We had a street view room with a balcony. We did enjoy sitting on it and watching the people and cars go by. That made up for the late night noise. The pool was indoors, except it was separate from the hotel. You had to go outside to get to the inside pool. But, it was ok. We will definitely consider staying there again.

Hotel is in a very good location right next to the park entrance and surrounded by great restaurants and attractions. Large clean lobby with good breakfast bar. Kind of expensivee for New Years Eve but I was booking pretty late. I had a balcony room overlooking the main strip and the mountains.
