Best Things Nearby:
The Trolley Depot was close by. The grocery store, restaurants, arts and crafts loop, and shops.

Best Things About the Resort:
The room was clean. We had a whirlpool tub, washer/dryer in unit, and a spectacular view of the Smokey Mountains.

Resort Experience:
We were on the fifth floor of unit #3; the units were built on the mountain. The view from our porch of the Smokey Mountains was spectacular. We had a one-bedroom with a whirlpool tub, separate shower, king size bed (the mattress was very comfortable), living room with a fireplace, dining area, and full kitchen. The unit was well equipped and very clean. Everything was perfect.

The resort is nestled in the mountains; they have an indoor/outdoor pool, activity center, and activity desk with discount attraction tickets. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped.

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge offer many fun activities.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location.

Resort Experience:
This was the worst mattress I've ever slept on. The walls were thin and we could hear people moving around in nearby units. The reception staff wasn't very friendly, but when we needed maintenance to get our video player to work, he was very friendly and professional.

Best Things Nearby:
Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Great Smokey Mountains, Cherokee NC, and the caverns.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location, location, location! We did not participate in the activities at the resort. The children did use the pool and small game room area several times in the evenings. We were out doing things in the area every day.

Resort Experience:
If you are a RCI owner and you exchange for a one-bedroom unit, you will be put in a very small cramped unit that they have available for exchanges and rentals. The owners units were about double the size of the unit we had and were much nicer. You could not have two people in the kitchen at the same time, nor was there any space in the living/dining room if the sleeper sofa was opened. There was no TV in the bedroom. I felt shortchanged since this was crown royal resort.

Other that our disappointment in our accommodations we had a wonderful time as we spent every day out exploring and enjoying the area. We explored caverns, went horseback riding, hiked to waterfalls, visited the arts and crafts community, fished, saw snow, snow skied (we're from Florida), and just stayed very busy for the whole week we were there. This resort is in a great location for taking in this wonderful area.

I would recommend the end of March for this area as it is not crowded at all and the weather was great. We had bright sunny days with temperatures in the 70s and then it was cold for a few days and snowed and then warmed up again. Dollywood and several other attractions were not open yet, but we probably would not have had time to do everything even if they were.

The grocery store was next door. We were one mile from the start of the Arts and Crafts Community and only two miles from downtown Gatlinburg.

Best Things About the Resort:
Clean! They had family activities you could join each day and a very informative orientation on Monday.

Resort Experience:
We usually don't get one-bedroom units because of their size, but this one-bedroom was more than adequate for my husband, our 15-year-old son, and me. There was one large bathroom with an adjoining dressing room with a jacuzzi. The living room and dining room were very nice sizes. The kitchen was really small, but we didn't spend much time there, so that was ok.

My husband and our son spent a lot of time each day playing pool in rec room.
