Description: This is probably the nicest hotel in downtown Nanaimo and is located directly across the street from the harbour. The rooms are very large with a queen size bed and small balcony and contain a mini bar, iron, ironing board, coffee maker & hairdryer. Bathrooms contain plenty of towels which I really appreciated. The exercise room has a sauna, jacuzzi, universal gym & a couple of stepper machines as well as an outdoor deck. Parking is provided (extra charge) in the covered parkade beside the hotel. There is a lounge, gift shop and a restaurant featuring seafood specialities. I really liked their recycling program. As well as the standard notices re: towels and sheets, each room has a "blue box" for recycling papers, tins, bottles, etc. and the liquid soap and lotion in the bathroom are in large pump jars to reduce the amount of throw aways.
