Went to bed about 12am Friday. By about 12:30 we were awoken by the group next door. It was a bunch of very drunk men. I finally called the front desk at 1:10am and asjed them to send someone over to ask them to quiet down. Waited until 2am when there was no change and called the front desk again. They said they had not sent anyone because "other things had come up". I asked if we could change rooms. Mind you this is 2am!!!! They said yes, but said one of the available rooms they had already had complaints in that location, too, so found another spot. We finally changed rooms at 2:30am. Didn't fall back asleep until after 3:30am. At 8:15am we could hear all of this noise outside our room. We look out and there is a guy standing right outside our door with a leaf blower!!! I call the front desk and then tell me he is cleaning the walls!!! I ask if he can do it later and they said they will send someone to ask him to come back later. He was there until 9:30am!!! No one came to ask him to stop! We have pix and a recording. We then went to the manager to check out (and leave our vacation early) and he was so incredibly rude and told me we had to pay for the hours we slept. He also accused me of lying and that "maybe we did send someone to ask the men to quiet down". And told me it is not his problem if people are loud.

Loved the spacious suite and the view.
Was in Palm Desert for a conference and stayed at the Villas 1. Absolutely stunning view overlooking a golf course with a pond and ducks. Mountains in the background changed every day depending on the time of day and position of the sun. The view was stunning. Stayed in building I on the top villa (second story) and it was very quiet. The suite was huge with a kitchen, dining room, living room, 1 bedroom with a separate tub and vanity and shower and vanity. A short walk to the hotel where they had fantastic restaurants, such as a Japanese hibachi and Tuscany. The sushi bar in the hotel lobby was great and the lobby was a nice place to have drinks. I didn't enjoy the restaurant Lakeview but everything else was above average. The hotel is huge but nicely landscaped. Beautiful swans and exotic birds were on the grounds.
The conference rooms were freezing so bring something warm to wear while inside on business. Lovely place but wouldn't bring my family for there wouldn't be enough to do. But would recommend for business.

I love the Marriott hotel. It is the perfect place to relax. There are great amenities and the people are all quite helpful. I would advise to take advantage of all the programs that the resort has to offer. Play in the pool, take a break at the spa, explore the hotel and just enjoy the cool air conditioned rooms!
I am very likely to return to the Marriott's Desert Springs Villas.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The view are excellent, and the food over at the Marriott resort is even better. El Picante Grill ran out of EVERYTHING at about 5pm on a Friday, so that was a little bit of a disappointment, but the drinks by the pool made up for it. For restraunts, take the shuttle to the JW Marriott resort.

Best Things About the Resort:
The water feature in the lobby, complete with boats to take you around the area, good restaurants, and a huge pool.
Resort Experience:
Besides having very poor parking (except for valet, which takes 20-30 minutes to get your car), you also have ridiculously long walks to rooms. It took me 30 minutes round trip to the car to get a camera I had forgotten. I would likely not stay there again, except in the Villas. It is just too large. It reminds me of the large Las Vegas hotels (but without a casino).
