Stayed there over Valentine's day weekend for 5 nights and the experience was wonderful! The hotel's location is unbeatable! Plenty of great restaurants around! I highly recommend Osha, definitely a local's favourite! The bed was super comfy! They also have complimentary wine everyday at 5:30pm. The staff was exceptional, very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again in the future!

I stayed here before it was a JDV hotel and it was good. Now that it is a JDVit is a great value. Good location (good breakfast place within 2 blocks, ramen house 2 blocks able to walk everywhere. I plan on staying here everytime I visit.

We loved the hotel. It is small buy cozy and very clean. The service was awasome, 5 stars service...close to transportation. If you have any doubt just ask anyone in the front desk...they will always help you. There are nice and cheap restaurants near by to get breakfast or grab something to eat at night. An excellent option.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carlton Hotel.  The Hotel is centrally located making access to local resurants, the Warf, sight-seeing tours and shopping very convient. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.  It will be our join again on our next trip to the Bay City. They even serve wine in the lobby for the guest every day at 5:30PM.Bill and Linda Le Clair

Nice, Comfortable, and Friendly Staff

This is an older hotel, but has been kept up nicely. VERY clean and comfortable rooms. It's a "green" hotel, so no vending machines. Only an icemaker on the first floor. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant is excellent. A bit noisy, since it's a downtown hotel, so if you're looking for a deathly quiet hotel, this isn't for you. But, I would absolutely recommend it for the average traveler. Well located... you can catch a cable car or trolley only a couple of blocks away. We traveled to fisherman's wharf and chinatown with ease. Shuttle to/from the airport was approximately $15 each person/each way. Again, it's not the quietest hotel. Insulation between rooms isn't great. But frankly, it was worth the stay and was an excellent value for the money. Couldn't say enough about the staff. Two of the reception team spoke several languages and were VERY helpful and considerate! It's older, but has new paint, clean bathrooms and rooms. Staff obviously take pride in the hotel. Lobby was quite comfortable and inviting. Nice fireplace and couches to lounge and just relax. Food in the restaurant was very good, and the wait-staff were VERY nice and attentive. Prices were not bad at all. I would definitely stay again.
