Nice boutique hotel

Room with king bed was nice, and clean. Room wall is thin so you might hear your next room neighbor and outside noice. No problem for me. Will stay there again as it is walking distance to all attractions.

this hotel was probably a conversion from an old apartment building and unfortunately it shows. i don't think they spent much time renovating the place. there's no insulation so you can hear everything on your floor. our keys didn't work when we arrived. the elevators were tiny. and the neighborhood was really scary. there was only a 19 inch tv in the room. and the carpet was so dirty, my socks were black from walking around. the only slightly saving grace was the curiously weird but friendly hotel staff.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was very helpful with directions and ideas and information. We were always greeted with smile and friendly greeting from every employee we encountered, that includes from the desk to the maintenance man we met in the elevator. The wine tasting each evening was a great way to relax after a busy day of sightseeing and gave us the opportunity to meet many of the other guests who were staying in the hotel. Our room was clean, well kept each day, had a wonderful view. There was internet service available in the lobby. When we return to San Francisco, we will definitely stay with the Hotel Carlton again.

Centrally located. Quiet. Convenient to public transportation. Newly decorated. Comfortable. Nice lobby with fireplace. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant in house. Very "green" i.e.,energy conservation. We would stay again.

Nice Hotel, very firendly staff. The Hotel is easy to find and parking is near by. The Hotel Staff are very friendly and funny, the wine tasting in the evening is with music is a great way to start your night off. The room was nice and clean and the bed comfortable. We would stay there again.
