Best Things Nearby:
The endless beach.

Best Things About the Resort:
Clean, quiet, very well maintained. Family friendly. Directly on the beach, well spaced to neighbouring facilities.

Resort Experience:
Great pool, pool toys for kids plentiful, activities room with programs for kids, families and the grown-ups. Large outdoor chess on the sun deck above the parking structure, lots of lounge chairs for the sun-hungry.Damage from recent hurricanes was evident all over the area; this resort had done an outstanding job repairing and rebuilding, visibly better than other buildings up and down the beach.Wear beach sandals/shoes on the beach and in the water! Crushed shells and underwater rocks easily cut skin.We would go back there anytime.

Best Things About the Resort:
The beach. This is a quiet resort... a great place to unwind. The helpful, friendly staff was awesome.

Resort Experience:
We were in one of the pool-view rooms, yet we had a great ocean view.

Our unit was clean, but infested with no-see-ums. A little late, but we were told while checking out that we could have requested to have our unit sprayed for these bugs. We bought Raid, which apparently was not what would kill them... it had no effect on them.

One word of caution to people with small children. There is very sharp coral at the shoreline just where the waves break, so keep an eye on the little ones.

We are 10-year owners at Vistana Beach Club and have visited many times over the years. We always stay in the "old" section, which is beachfront. It has fewer condos, but on a Fri-Fri stay, you can stay in a North End unit, which offers a wraparound balcony that allows a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The higher floors (floors 6 - 9) offer less beach view, but more privacy on the balcony. The lower floors (2 - 5) offer great beach views for those who want to watch beach activity. The wonderful dunes and plant life at the dune break were devastated by the 2004 hurricanes, but the resort itself was as delightful as ever. It will require a great deal of reconstruction to replace the slope of the beach and the berms, but it will happen in due time.

The condos are two-bedroom/two-bathroom with a pull-out sofa, and are very spacious and comfortable. The "new" section offers only Sat-Sat check-in and doesn't have any beachfront units. Some have beach view, but are basically blocked by the older units directly in front of them. These units are wonderful for families because of their proximity to the large pool/activity area.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach and several really good local restaurants. A very nice Publix is close to the resort as well.

Best Things About the Resort:
The oceanfront units were great. The units were pretty spacious and had great views.

Resort Experience:
This is an older Vistana resort, but has been pretty well maintained. The furnishings and appliances were pretty good in our unit, but the carpet and bathrooms really needed to be updated. The unit was clean and functional. It is a great resort to watch the turtles come out of the ocean and lay their eggs on the beach. I saw almost one every night. The beach is not as nice as it was before the hurricanes last year. They have rebuilt the beach with a different kind of sand that packs down. It made it difficult for the turtles to dig in it to lay their eggs.
