Very nice motel

We were very pleased with our three night stay. The room was extremely clean and spacious. The location could not be better. Seemed like we were near everything. The four deer in the parking lot upon one of our returnes was an added bonus.

Do not ever make a reservation – If you cancel a month before arrival date you will still be charged and they will not refund. This happened to me. I called one month before arrival Date. They could not even find the reservation. They said “We cannot cancel something we don’t have”. They had it, they charged for first night (2 rooms) when we didn’t show up. When we asked for refund for a reservation we didn’t have, they did everything they could think of to put us off, ignore us, blame others, make us prove it. They simply do not care about their customers. All they care about is taking your money. They can not be trusted. Stay away from these guy, they are trouble.

Definitely stay in Pacific Grove

For value, scenery and ambience, stay in Pacific Grove when visiting the Monterey Bay area. You'll get away from the crowds, enjoy quaint eateries, and be within walking distance to incredible ocean scenery. This motel was a great deal. Rooms were very clean and big. The vaulted ceilings give a sense of more space. There was a good, new TV w/VCR in the room and a nice-sized refrigerator and microwave to help keep snacks in the room. The setting is very peaceful, and the pool and hot tub were better than expected. This is not a fancy place, but it's in a great location, central to Monterey and Carmel for a lot less money. We liked it a lot, and we usually stay in 4 and 5 star resorts on vacation. One drawback: we left our car unlocked at night right outside our room and someone stole our portable DVD player and our kids' movies out of the back. It could have happened anywhere, but that was a big disappointment.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean. Room was spacious and extremely comfortable. Location was great, near the ocean and downtown Pacific Grove. Would like to come back during butterfly season as the Inn borders on the sanctuary. The entire facility had a feel of space and comfort. Would definitely stay there again.

enjoyed our stay, Very pleasant and helpful staff. Heated pool. Fireplace didn't create roaring fire, but was adequate. Free breakfast was very good. Very quiet location and close to ocean. Will stay there again.
