Overall, this hotel was great for the money. It was everything we expected if not more. It was quiet and clean. We are students who travel often so price is a huge consideration. This hotel came with a mini fridge and microwave. The TV was standard (no plasma or LCD lol) but it worked. All our electrical sockets and lamps worked (trust me, these don't even in vegas rooms at the Wynn in Vegas!). The pool was decent. The pool smelled kinda funny but there were people in it every night we were there. We were told later that this was the "bad" part of town but we didn't feel unsafe. We felt the area was nice. There were many food choices, stores, and activities within 5 miles. We noticed that the whole city goes to sleep by ten though (kinda weird for people from LA and the OC). Overall, this place was nice and we'd stay again. Oh yeah... free WiFi!!

Great value, actually 20 miles from SeaWorld- at least on the MapQuest map we used to find it. Santee is a little out of the way for a SeaWorld trip, but this is a great little hotel and their free continental breakfast was a nice spread. Friendly, helpful staff. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean. Small town, but we were still able to order in pizza the night we got there. NO COMPLAINTS!

We've enjoyed the closeness of the beach access from our room, walking distance to local resturants at night was pleasant. There was a nice sitting area by the pool that overlooked into the ocean, for there we able to see a wonderful sunset. The cafe' was very convient for breakfast. The rooms were nicely designed and cleaned throughly. Each staff member had a great smile and attitude, you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. Everyone always greeted us where ever we went in the hotel and if we needed directions they were promptly printed for us at the front desk. We will be back!!

The Best Western Santee Lodge is the best bang for your buck in San Diego..

The Staff is verry friendly. Was able to check in early.Rooms could use a coat of new paint but other than that rooms ok
