Great Hotel & Staff

  • June 28, 2009
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
Stayed at this hotel for the weekend and had a great stay. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. Also, the hotel is two blocks away from the Power & Light District, which is a place that has a bunch of restaurants and bars.

The hotel was great! The staff was uber-helpful and knowledgeable, and the room was lovely. OK, the bathroom was small and a bit dark, but it's an old hotel. The beautiful thing about an old hotel is that it's Quiet!

One of the Worst Places to Stay

It started with the unfriendly and hard to understand front desk worker. She acted like it was an annoyance that I had booked through online travel website and had to upgrade my room to 2 beds. She told me we would be charged an extra $30 total for the upgrade and when we checked out we were charged $45 and the new front desk worker (who was also unfriendly) blew me off and refused to do anything. To top things off, the comforter on my bed smelled like urine and I woke up the next morning with bed bug bites on my legs and arms. Also, our toilet handle was broken and had to be wiggled just right to flush. The only good thing about this place was its close proximity to the Sprint Center/Power & Light District.
