Top of the line comfort & Service

This is a fantastic boutique hotel. The free wine & cheese reception nightly and the free breakfast every morning help offset the cost. Lobby & lounge area is delightful. Room decor reminds me of the W Hotels. Only thing I could complain about was there was no hook in the bathroom to hang the plush robe they provided. Location is good for Old Montreal sites but out of the way for good shopping. Service in the Versus dining room was slow, food was good but a litle pricy. All staff was personable and professional.

Hotel Nelligan

We reserved a King-loft Suite. It had a king-sized platform bed with night stands, sofa with coffee table, 7ft long desk with built in mini-bar, CD player, dresser with TV, club chair with table, luggage table, fireplace with remote starter, and last but not least the bathroom had a jetted tub built for two and the biggest glass enclosed shower for two I've ever seen in a hotel.
The only negative was they were doing construction (adding about 40 more rooms) and it was a little noisy at times. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay there. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The service was in all respects was excellent. Our needs were attended to immediately. There were even bowls of apples on each floor near the elevator. Turn-down chocolates were Lindor Truffles.
Jeanne, the Concierge, was awesome. Unfortunately, my wife would not let me bring her home with us. They also have a wonderful restaurant, Verses, and a delightful French boutique on the premises as well as a bar and roof-top terrace for afternoon cocktails.

Nelligan is a gem conveniently tucked behind Basilica Notre Dame. It's right in the middle of the Old Montreal scene and is a short walk to metro and Chinatown. The moment you step into the hotel, it feels like you're in a european hotel. I enjoyed stepping into the room with classical music turned on for us. The bathroom is very spacious as well. Love having breakfast at the atrium even tho' there are plenty of other seating choices. Don't forget to checkout the roof terrace.

We were in Montreal on our honeymoon, March 2007. We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Nelligan! The rooms were absolutely beautiful, the bathroom was amazing with it's whirlpool tub, the fireplace created a relaxing atmosphere. My only complaint is regarding the lack of a coffee maker in the room. Everything else was fabulous!
