very nice hotel

The Bristol is a very nice hotel in a great location, especially if you're looking to take advantage of public transit. We were one block away from bus tops which took us to Balboa Park, Coronado, and La Jolla (although the latter was a long bus ride with many stops in between).
The hotel itself is attractive, comfortable, modern, and the staff was extremely helpful in guiding me during my time in San Diego.
The Shining

This hotel reminded me of the hotel in the movie The Shining. It is right across the street from the bus station. Interesting people are hanging around. They do not have a drink machine in the hotel for customers. They tell you to walk down the street to the 7-eleven. There was no security bar on the door which made me feel uncomfortable. The walls are very thin. The hotel itself is spooky. You cannot get coffee before 630am and the ice machines are only on 3rd and 8th floors.
However, the room was clean, but the comforter was a little faded.

I LOVE the Bristol. Staff is excellant-very friendly. They take dogs!!! Decor is great, location is great. Mini bar is great. Everytime I stay, it is such a pleasant experience!!!
Colorful and Friendly

This hotel is in a great location and the staff is really friendly. The colorful rooms and hallways add a nice touch to the hotel. The building appears to be fairly old, but it is kept clean.

The style of the hotel is great. It is modern, colorful and fun with cool artwork. It is in a great location. However, the room faced the Greyhound bus starion which was a terrrible view and we could only hear the noise and loud speaker from the station, ven with the windows closed. I had also requested a non smoking room, and pepople had def. smoked in the room before. For the price of the hotel, I dont think it has enough to offer.
