Bugs and Urine

My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon.
This place was a disaster.
The hallways smelled of urine or mold.
The view from our room was that of an alley way and trash dumpsters.
The staff was unfriendly and appeared to not know what they were doing. When we asked one receptionist for recommendations for restaurants she had no suggestions. When my wife asked about ice she was told to go downstairs and find it herself.
The bathrooms were old and outdated. My grandparents house, built in the 1940's had the same hospital green and black tiling.
The bed was horribly uncomfortable. And worse, both mornings we awoke with red, itching bumps on our body. We thought we were allergic to the sheets but as the day progressed the bumps appeared to be bug bites! (We contacted Best Western and are still waiting for a response)
The continental breakfast had a decent selection but the products were stale. We also noticed people coming off the street to have a free meal.
You definately get what you pay for here. We will not be back.

There were little bugs in our bathroom and our friends window was broken. It is a good location and a decent room but all of the housekeeping staff do not speak english and it is a little difficult to get things that you need.
WARNING: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

The hotel is only 2 blocks from the beach and in central south beach and it is cheap. So I suppose you are low on cash, it is a good value. But I would never stay there again for several reasons:
1. The staff was outrageously indifferent to our concerns, they were often cold. When I asked them advice on what to do in the area or bus information, they rarely knew anything detailed about the area and rarely volunteered to find out info for me. They often acted as if they were doing me a favor.
2. The bathroom was old and the wall in my room was slowly falling apart.
3. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR ROOM when housekeeping comes around. In fact, Id recommend leaving a do not disturb sign the entire time. I left merchandise (Gifts for friends worth $*) on the table in the room in a white plastic bag. Housekeeping , when I was out, later threw the bag out. The maid never admitted to her mistake. The hotel claimed to look for it, but it never materialized. I never even heard an apology.
4. The front entrance to the pool area and the main door to reception have no locks, anyone from the street can come in. The safety at the hotel is terrible.
5. Many hotel workers were rude, unprofessional.
6. The hotel allowed a group of people (6 or 7) to dominate the pool area for two nights with loud music and open vodka bottles everwhere. The hotel did nothing about a large group getting openly very drunk in the pool area. Naturally none of the other guests were able to use the area. This hotel is terrible and not worth it.

This hotel is not good for anyone. Do not stay here and maybe they will upgrade. this was the worst hotel ever. The rooms were old & dirty and the bed smell sour. The towels were dingy and old and stained. The staff was not polite. We moved 3 times and each room was worse. The room we thought was better had ants. There was a hole in the floor and walls. Large Rust stains in the bath tub, lights hardly worked, The maid never left wash cloths, carpet was nasty and smelly. The room was very small. The mirrors were not clean. It had splash marsk on it. This hotel needs to be shut down.
"The Good, Bad, and Ugly"

The Good: The free breakfast, the price, the pool, the location, and the friendly staff. The Bad: The tempermental bathroom light, the tiny room size, the miniature pillows, and the bad tv with only a few stations. The Ugly: The clean towel allotment (unless you ask for extras), and no mini-fridge in rooms.
