the motel was nice enough, but they advertised that there was a hot tub for the guests use. when we tried to use it, it was closed for season, although their marquee was flashing Pool, Hot Tub, Fitness center. i explained to the front dest how disappointed i was, and i was told that they would contact the manager. i never heard from them.

We moved out of the Moab Valley Inn after one night and into the Best Western. It was clean, nicely decorated with new furnishing and had a totally acceptable pool, hot tub and fitness center. Online acces with a printer in the lobby made our boarding passes a breeze for the return home. Real cream with the coffe would be an appreciated plus but a trip to the market and the in room refigerator solved the problem. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Great Hotel, right near Arches National Park

Only 5 miles or so from the entrance to Arches NP, this motel is a great bargain and a home base for exploring all that Moab and Arches has to offer. If you are staying for more than a night, there is an active family night life in town, along with many restaurants and shops open late for tourists. The rooms were recently updated with new beds, furniture, and bathrooms redone with high quality furniture. Whoever did the remodel did a nice job...flat screen tv, super clean & fancy shower/tub with multiple Speakman showerheads. The pool was a nice treat after a hard day of hiking/biking in the hot Arches NP in the middle of July. I would definitely stay here again.
I got a good night's sleep...and a good meal

We were ready to tuck in to bed by the time we rolled into town, and the girl at the front desk only took about 30 seconds to check my reservation and get the key. We were able to park next to the room, a plus after a long travel. The pool was outdoors and closed for winter, but we were in no mood to stay up swimming anyway. Supper at the on-location Chinese restaurant was delicious, but there was no kid's menu, and the daughter ended up with a tremendous plate of food. My only complaint about the room was the loud refrigerator. I liked the decor, and it looked to be very clean to me.
Dirty Room and Sewer Problems

We stayed there three nights. On the third night at 5pm we and others in the hotel were told not to use the toilet or the shower and if we needed to use the bathroom to go over to use the restroom in the pool area.
I found under the bed, someone's prescription glasses, a sponge for dishwashing along with wrappers and other material. It was obvious they were not cleaning this room.
The management offered us a 50% discount on the last night of stay. We took it and left.
They said they were working on the sewer system. We didn't see anyone that evening or the next morning working on the sewer system.
I felt sorry for the staff having to phone all these families and tell them not to shower or use the toilets in their rooms.
