Don't expect help if something goes missing...

The hotel was in the perfect location, you couldn't get any closer to Disneyland without staying at a Disney hotel. My teenager had a book of all things go missing however and when we contacted the hotel within a week of returning home the customer service left a lot to be desired. Multiple messages were left for management without ANY return calls, we were only able to speak to housekeeping who claimed the book was found the day we left in a place it could not have possibly have been. They wanted more than the book was worth to ship it back to us, so we will be buying another book...
I understand things happen, it just would have been nice for somebody in management to decide that one of their guests was valued enough to call back.

My family and I recently stayed at the Anabella hotel for three nights. Our room was in the San Miguel building on the bottom level (a Casita Suite, as it was called). This room had a queen sized bed in the main room, a small bathroom connected to a closet with mirror door, and an adjacent room with a daybed. The smaller room was much smaller than I envisioned, but suited our needs. The small love-seat in front of the bed was itself a sofa bed, which we discovered entirely by accident, but was not used for that purpose. The floors are hard wood, giving the entire room a warm feeling. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and helpful (I worked with XYZ at the front desk, who was a delight) and later received instructions from gentleman at the concierge desk, who was also very pleasant.
The buildings are Spanish in style and the grounds are well groomed. We did not use the Tangerine Grill or the pool, but saw many people enjoying both during our stay. My hubby used the workout facilities and said he was pleased that they had free weights, but was a bit disappointed by the Elliptical trainer (something about the style of it bothered his knees). This could be a result of age or too much use, but I'm sure most people staying wouldn't be there to work out anyway. There is also a *private* pool for adult use. Disneyland is a very short walk away.
Constructive criticisms? The hardwood floors could have used more care (don't walk barefoot. They are terribly dusty!) and opt for a larger room if you don't like feeling cramped. The space is not as it appears on their site. Overall, a pleasant stay.
Not used to money hungry people.

I was booked for 7 nights. I arrived at 3:15 and was told to come back in 45 minutes for check in.
We had 2 queen beds. 1 of the beds was thoroughly abused, I mean it had a dent on the the right side of it that seemed like a 1500lb man slept there. We had to use one of the big decorative pillows to boost it back up so we wouldn't fall off that side. Terrible. The other bed was just fine. and we(adults) traded off between it and the sunkin one. There was a total of 6 sleeping pillows and ONE of them was down.
First 2 nights we parked in our assigned location just fine.. After that, everytime we got in for the evening, there was no where to park. I would have to wait at my window till someone left and then rush down to get the spot. You are supposed to display a parking paper in your dashboard and I counted more than 10 cars a night that were in our location that didnt have the paper in the dash.. I went to the front desk and was told "sorry".
Will never stay there again.

Negatives:
The in room fridge and freezer was so small it was almost unusable. We had planned on freezing some water bottles to take to Disneyland. We ended up using our cooler for milk, water and snacks.
The parking is $11.50 per day. There are few spots and they are so close together that even the mini-van was a tight fit. If you have a full sized vehicle on each side you can barely open your side doors.
Positives:
I thought the price was fair for the room quality. We paid about $150.00 per night after tax and fees for a two room suit that slept 5 comfortably.
The hotel is about 1/2 mile from Downtown Disney. It wasn't a bad walk at all, even for our 7 year old.
There are three places to dine withing walking distance (four blocks).
We did not spend much time in the room since we were at Disneyland for three days and nights.
I would stay in this hotel again for a similar trip in the future.
