FANTASTIC/IMPRESSIVE

We were looking for a great deal on a four star hotel and at the last moment decided on Bodega Bay Lodge since the reviews were favorable. Since I am in the hotel industry and am very particular about where I stay , I was a bit hestitant but thought I would give this lodge a try and boy was I impressed. Our checkin process was fast and friendly. There is a 24 hour coffee/reading room, a very nice touch. The bathrooms are wonderful and so were the robes that I wore down to the hot tub. I cannot wait to go back. The service in the Duck restaurant was very friendly and the food was average but then I only had pancakes, thats not saying very much. I highly recommend this property.

Would move in tomorrow

I would urge the person who is telling all his friends bad things about this place to keep it up--I don't want it to get crowded for when I go back, which will be the very next chance I get! This place is beautiful, the location is perfect for getting into the Sonoma wine valley, our room was lovely, and it had the most comfortable bed my husband and I have ever slept on. We didn't even have a room with a fireplace or the updated bathroom mentioned in other reviews, which is the only potential negative comment I would have. Our bathroom needed updating, since the shower was built for someone who is four feet tall. Had we had a fireplace and a new bathroom, we would still be there. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the restaurant but I can see why it would be popular since there is not a lot of fine dining in the area. I did not know about the pool or spa (this trip was a surprise) but they both looked very nice and were right out on the bay, for great sunset watching. Can't wait to go back.

Great Place for the Money, Newly remodled

My husband and I went here for out anniversary, and we had a great time. The rooms were spacious, clean, and newly remodled. The bathrooms were beautiful, and the fireplace was a wonderful bonus. The mini-bar was nice with all the amernities you would think of for family or a romantic getaway near wine country. We did have a problen with the new bathtub, the drain wouldn't switch from shower to bathtub, so the staff was very helpful in gettin that corrected, they even sent us a bottle of complimentary champaign for pur anniversary to make up for the plumbing issues. The Duck Club restaraunt was really good also. Highly recommended for dinner. We will definately stay here again when we are in the area!!!!!

Service was outstanding...everyone was very nice. The Duck Club Rest was excellent...best breakfast we have had in sometime. Grounds were always clean and we always saw workers cleaning up or maintaining the property. The hot tub and pool were great and open late. Beautiful area around the resort and we saw whales on Bodega Point. Very secluded spot.

This resort looked great from the outside. The rooms were ok but not worth the price. The restaurant was ok but not worth the price either. We would never go back and have told everyone we know about it,
