IT WAS OK

The overall experience was good. The continental breakfast was juice, coffee, boiled egg, and danish . Our room was suppose to see the mississippi river but all you saw was a street. The room was clean and had a iron and flat screen tv. But it had a little odor I guess from the carpet. But the staff was friendly and I give it 3 stars. The hotel is old fashioned and it didnt have an ice maker on our floor.

Ideal location, price, and charm!

Thankfully, online travel website made the "extra fees" of all the other hotels clear and that is why we picked this one! This hotel DOES NOT CHARGE for "extra persons" in your room (many French Quarter hotels charge $20 per person above the first guest). In addition (this may have been a promotion/special at time of booking) we got FREE PARKING!!! (the regular rate for this hotel was $** per day...a typical price). The hotel is gorgeous! Wonderful grounds, beautiful courtyards, cute pools (one in a "secret garden" type location which was fun!), outstanding breakfast selection (hard boiled eggs, variety of teas, coffee, pastries, granola bars, etc.) The location was 2 blocks from the "market" and only about 3 or 4 blocks from Bourbon St. We walked to Jackson Square, the riverfront, even St. Louis #1 cemetery. The room was clean, new flat screen TV, wonderful shampoo/conditioner & lotion (both smelled great!), and the staff offered recommendations for dinner (even printed out menus from 3 restaurants for us to look at before going!).

Everything was great.

If you want to stay in the French Quarter this is a great place. Nice rooms off courtyards and pools, antique furniture, flat screen tv, wifi. The employees were really friendly and professional. You can't beat the south. With in walking distance of lots and lots of stuff. We'll stay again.

Hotel Provincial is awesome!!!

Great hotel with fantastic service. You can't beat the location. Quiet nights right inside the Quarter. We have stayed here before and will stay again. We always check their availability first before we go. Parking is right there at the hotel and a friendly, helpful staff will guide you to anywhere you need to go. I have stayed in many places in New Orleans and have found this hotel to be the most accomodating and affordable. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture that gives you a feeling of being in the "old South". Bourbon Street is a 3 minute walk away with all of it's energy and enjoyment. I recommend this hotel highly. You would be hard pressed to find better accomodations at a fantastic location.
