We had a great time staying here. The employees were awesome and very helpful. Anything we needed was there for us! Beautiful pools and garden areas. Very clean! Full of history! So glad we picked this hotel and can't wait to return!

They went out of their way to make things correct.

My husband and I loved this hotel. The staff were friendly and the rooms were charming. This hotel is located on a quiet street so that was a plus for us.

Great place to stay and excellent location in the French Quarter and near Marigny. Other than breakfast starting at 8 AM (I'm an early riser and would prefer an earlier start), we would definitely stay here again!

I don't "do" haunted and I am VERY sensitive to any kind of paranormal ...Read more We stayed here for 4 nights. We were in town for a wedding. The location is great if you want to be in the French Quarter. I was hesitant b/c it said the hotel was haunted. I don't "do" haunted and I am VERY sensitive to any kind of paranormal stuff. I felt nothing and saw nothing and believe me I was on high alert! The whole bridal party and wedding guests were staying here so I sucked it up. Building 500 is suppose to be the most haunted. There are 5 buildings 100-500. We were in building 300 upstairs in the back. It was out of the way. We had a deluxe suite with two floors. The bottom floor had a sitting room with a fireplace with a creepy picture over it with a hole in it. The kind where you are expecting an eyeball to be looking at you! But it didn't happen! We had to climb 22 steps inside the room to get to the bedroom and 2 flights of stairs to get to the room. There is NO elevator in the hotel! In fact, most of New Orleans has lots of stairs and NO elevators. If you are handicapped or have knee trouble (like me) beware! This includes most restaurants. Lots of walking and climbing and uneven sidewalks! Our bedroom was spacious and comfy once we climbed up to it. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and the pillows too! They had a comfy duvet cover it was great! I don't know what the other review was talking about! Nice hot showers where the water was hot immediately. Plenty of extras towels. No hair conditioner just shampoo. They have blow dryers. We had a total of 6 rooms all together and one was nicer than the next but all different. Some were small and some larger. All had the old world charm of the South. They were all similar to a bed and breakfast. The Hotel is two blocks from Bourbon St. so it was very quiet. The staff was nice. They did try to over charge me but they quickly corrected the bill. So, double check before leaving. They have a free continental breakfast from 8-10 am with pastries, hard boiled eggs (cold) yogurt, apples, bagels with cream cheese, toast and orange juice. They have coffee and tea 24/7. The front desk supplies you with maps. It is easy to get around. I would not recommend having a car it's $24 per day plus there's no where to drive and park. You can walk or take a taxi or rickshaw anywhere for less. Airport transportation is $33 for two people one way each additional is $14 pp. It's a flat rate. Cabs they add for additional people and it is timed not just by mileage. They have free Wifi and a computer in the lobby free of charge.I would stay here again. This is a very charming hotel where you get the real feel of New Orleans not just a commercialized room. Close
