very pleased with location and service

We were looking for a hotel in close proximity to Raymond James Stadium to attend the bowl game. We picked the Crown Plaza. Our family was very pleased with this location. It was clean, very "green" oriented, very pleasant staff. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, the linens clean. We were very pleased. It may have been an older hotel by some reviews but it was not showing its age. I would recommend to any of my family members as a place to stay.
Bad visit

Our stay at this hotel was so bad we checked out a day earlier than scheduled. First they had the directions online backwards. Once we finally found the place we had to walk a mile from the elevator to our room. The smelled old, the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. The toilet was very low to the floor. The next morning we were awaken by a loud noise t hat sound like someone was moving furniture, when I called the front desk to complain, they took forever to come check it out; they finally remembered they were cleaning the carpet. This is not worth what we paid.

The staff was very friendly. The room was exquisite. The food in the restaurant excellent. I would definately stay there again. It's a great place to stay for a business trip or a romantic getaway. It's worth checking out.

Every thing about this hotel was perfect. From the minute we entered the beautiful lobby we knew we were in for a great time. The room was spotless.The staff was very helpful in helping us find a nice place to eat. Although they have a place to eat right there in the hotel we wanted to go into town which is just a short drive away. This hotel is right off the interstate and very easy to get to. I felt totally safe in this hotel. We had a wonderful time and would go back again. Make sure you ask for a map of the area at the front desk. I loved the noon check out! The beds are so comfortable you dont want to get out of it!! Check out the pool..

We were blown away by the waterfall in the lobby - very chic! We were there for a concert. The hotel even had a shuttle to the venue! The room was great and the bed was comfy! Would recommend to anyone - price was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
