Look no further. Stay at Kingwood La Quinta

Stop looking for a hotel right now and book at La Quinta Kingwood. I have almost never stayed at a place with the kind of care and personal service -- in addition to general quality of property -- that is provided here. The place is a near-miracle of value, courtesy and friendliness. This isn't a luxury hotel, but it sure acts like one. I have rarely felt so taken care of by a hotel as I did by G and the staff of La Quinta. Features included: ultra-helpful front desk; delightful pool and hot tub, a very nice selection of bath amenities, exceptional room desk with plenty of AC power (for laptop road warriors); very nice breakfast and breakfast area, including three kinds of do-it-yourself waffles; and nice little touches like a complimentary bar of fine dark chocolate in the room. Finally: this hotel sent me a THANK YOU note -- hand-written -- for staying at their property. I mean -- are you kidding me?? I will ALWAYS stay here on future trips to the Houston area. Only wish: They currently have no airport shuttle, (cab cost $25 one-way to Bush Intercontinental) but Front Desk Gail said they were "working on it."

Look elsewhere!

I checked into this hotel because of its location and because they allow pets. This hotel is run-down, the people staying here are sketchy, there are families of 5+ people living in one room, the people staying here are loud and not courteous. The only reason I stayed one night out of the 3 booked was because it was too late to go and search for another hotel. I highly DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Stay at your own risk

I've stayed in a lot of hotels but this one ranks in my top three of the worst. The first room I checked into had ants, old yellow mattresses and someones dirty socks left behind. They put me into another room, the window leaked when it rained, bad, also a power outage (over 10 hours) from a storm. Out of the whole area, only La Quinta's power was out.. They called it an act of nature, I call it an inconvenience. Needless to say, they didn't care and wasn't concerned.

Good option

Well located, near Walmart, Frys and major oil companies.Good breakfast and staff. Fitness center is poor with broken machines and parking place needs some more care. Large and clean rooms with microwave and refrigerator.A good option with a fair daily rate.
