The person I talked to a couple of times on the phone was hard to understand at times. She also did not explain things clearly enough sometimes. This was my first time using your company and is was a little fustrating,

Comfortable stay, very good value, nothing pretentious

Very satisfied with our room and pleased with the staff here. This is not a luxury facility and there's no pretense here in that regard. Nothing about Bakersfield Travelodge distracted from our overall stay--got the rest we needed between meeting sessions (at Bakersfield College) plus an excellent breakfast on site which is provided strictly for guests and is a variety of traditional hot selections prepared by a very capable gentleman the Sunday morning we stayed--also has the pour-your-own waffle iron which you need to read and follow the instructions for carefully... We suggest that you tip at least $3 for your breakfast and at least $3 each night for your room. Very good hard-working people there take care of their guests without making a big deal of it and having worked retail and other service-related jobs we know that great service takes a great deal of effort.

103 and no AC

Stayed here with my pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter. 1st room had cold air about 4 inches from the small AC vent. Left AC on high all day and returned at 9 PM. Room was just as hot as 2 pm only more humid! Front desk offered a fan as a fix. Went back about an hour later and arranged for room transfer first thing in the morning and to get a second fan. After sweating out the night, we moved rooms. The AC kept the room cool-er in the next room. But both rooms, bathrooms were dirty. Dirty tubs, dirty shower curtains, dirt on the doors! We covered everything in towels, prior to use. Beds were okay, though fitted sheets would've been nice. The breakfast lounge was the bright spot on this pretty aweful trip. The cook was extremely friendly and helpful. Tip for Hotel owner: Take the $71 a night travel online took me for and spend half that on a stand alone AC unit for each room. Or just re-do your entire A/C system!

Convenient, clean & accommodating.......

Upon arrival and throughout my stay the front desk and staff were very courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating. The room was large, clean, comfortable and our parking space was right outside our sliding glass doors. This made it easier to load and unload my luggage. I never experienced any inconvenience from other visitors while in my room, in fact, I hardly noticed their comings and goings. Restaurants, convenience marts and fast foods eateries are in close proximity to the hotel (some within walking distance). Not knowing Bakersfield, I was worried that I'd get lost trying to find the hotel. However, that wasn't the case with Travelodge. I was also able to find the large shopping malls within 6-10 miles from the hotel. My time spent in Bakersfield with my family was wonderful and I will stay at the Travelodge again when I come for my next visit. I will recommend Travelodge to my family and friends home here, when they go for their visits to Bakersfield. Mahalo, Travelodge, for making this "infrequent" traveller's stay "uncomplicated" and "most" enjoyable, especially during the holidays!

Nice and Quiet

Though the hotel was close to a busy street, the noise level was never a problem. There was a small courtyard garden with a fountain in front of the row of rooms. The bubbling fountain was nice to walk by as I made my way to the small cafeteria to eat a good complimentary hot meal. Wireless internet worked well in the room. Temperature control was never a problem. Noise was never a problem. The front desk staff were always smiling and were very pleasant. I will stay here again the next time I travel to Bakersfield.
