Nice place to stay

Quote: New, walking distance to restaurants, easy to find, very polite staff, clean and comfortable rooms . Went there with my son, and would definitely stay again. Good cost, with only complaint that the in room movie rentals are overpriced.

Quote: I was in Monterey for 11 nights and I'm so glad I chose to stay at the Vagabond Inn. It was a great value for what I paid and I will definitely be back. The service was great!

Some good, some bad

Quote: Room: The room was clean, but needs updating. The pillows are very thin and you will likely need to ask for extras. One of the beds in the room literally had springs that clanked every time you rolled over to that side.\n\nAmenities: There are... Read the full Munras Lodge review

Great Value

  • 5 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • July 30, 2007
Quote: This room was a great value. The room was large and spacious, spotless, and the bed was relativly comfortable. We were close enough to all kinds of activities, yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet.

Good Place to Stay

Quote: The room was nice. The king size bed was good, firm and not run down. I was expecting gas fire place set into the wall. It was one you get at k-mart and you plug it in to the wall. We thought that was the only source of heat until we saw the... Read the full Munras Lodge review

3 star?

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • January 17, 2007
Quote: Not sure how AAA does their ratings, however the Munras Lodge was listed as a 3 star. It was very clean, room very simplistic. Great for business travel. Surely a NO FRILLS hotel/motel. Hot tub/sauna under repair. Great location if not bothered... Read the full Munras Lodge review

  • January 2, 2007
Quote: I had reserved a king size bed w/firelpace, but when we got there we were given 2 queen size beds w/fireplace. We were told they did not have the room I had reserved, which was ok, until we realized the fireplace did not work properly. The... Read the full Munras Lodge review

  • January 2, 2007
Quote: We liked the fireplace in the corner and a large room. But the night was cold due to the broken heater and unsatisfactory breakfast.

good but not great

Quote: heat was hard to set, and erratic. The fireplace had a pilot light but was not functional. Otherwise accomodations are convenient and breakfast waffles a nice touch.

Quote: The room was clean, but needs updating. Not big on ambiance even with a fireplace. I did have a termite in my bed the first night..but OK after that. I came back one night around 10pm to find no place to park! Had to wake up the counter... Read the full Munras Lodge review
