Imagine, a kitchenette in Manhattan for less than $200 a night? What a great place, nice staff, daily NY Times at door, quiet room, good bed, fine bathroom, closet space and did I mention the kitchen w/ fridge and electric cooktop and microwave and sink and all the utensils one could need? And the location is terrific, right near Central Park, subway lines and lots of places to eat, even a couple of local markets nearby. Enjoy!
Upgrade for the SUITE !

Booked through HOTWIRE at a very good price. The first room was dated and dismal!
The front desk offered a suite for a small additional amount. The suite was huge and
very nicely decorated. (One large bedroom, large living room w/ full kitchen). Everything was very clean. The bathroom had just been updated. The new bath vanity actually touched the
edge of the toilet. Sitting on the toilet was a tight squeeze, even for the little folks. Still the suite was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.
This hotel is very convenient to Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Fifth Ave shopping, Broadway
Theatre, and Times Square. The Buckingham is genuine New York. Despite its quirks/age,
I enjoyed my visit and would recommend this hotel. I strongly recommend upgrading to
a suite.
