Although the place has been updated, it still is what I consider below average.
I know it's difficult to upgrade an old building to modern standards, but as they say lipstick on a pig is still a pig. BTW, this is not a disaster hotel, just old with newer furniture, painting carpet etc.
One thing that bugged me is they put in fancy new vanities in the bathroom with granite countertop, but you could not sit up straight while sitting on the toilet because it stuck out so much.
Also, the place was not all that clean, but the staff was friendly and curteous.
Pizza from room service was AWFUL, the crust tasted and looked like cardboard.
