We loved this place. The room was as big as our living/dining/kitchen at home... Also a big closet and big bathroom. This would have been good for a family to stay here and vacation. We only stayed one night but wished there had been more time. They have laundry facilities which we took advantage of. They had 2 whirlpools and swimming pool outside but alas was too chilly outside to use them. They had a good breakfast. Had to get used to the one way streets but the clerks were so helpful on that.

This is my second time at the Santa Cruz Beach Inn and I can't say enough about the place! You can't beat the price! Its clean, breakfast is good (real food & lots of it), staff is nice, and I feel safe leaving my car in the parking lot. Its close to down town, close to the Beach Boardwalk, and close to some good restaurant. All & all, A great place for your dollar!

We stopped here for one night and thought we would relax by the pool. It was freezing! No jacuzzi.
Was told that they don't heat pools in Santa Cruz. Room was small but clean. Employees were cordial and the breakfast was good.
Nothing to do near the hotel, have to drive to the boardwalk for entertainment and the crowds were horrible. Took 15 minutes to park.
Would not stay at the hotel again, kids were bored.
Room smelled very bad

I would never stay here again. Just was not very clean or comfortable. We had two rooms as we had 3 kids with us. Even the kids thought it was not very nice. The hot tub was very cloudy and didn't look very clean. The motel was NOT A 3 STAR, but more a two star. The rooms smelled really bad, even after we had someone come up to spray room air freshner. I think it was because the carpets were dirty. It was a trip more for our teenage girls, but will never stay here again. I know Santa Cruz is not known for great hotels, but I hope next year we can find at least a three star if not a four star.

The hotel was nice, quiet, and clean. Service was great, and the adjoining rooms were welcome. Courtyard fountain was noisy at night - they should disable it after 10 pm. Otherwise great.
