Went with my family & during our visit I had to go to a CBS Hair Show. When we arrived I went to check in & the gentleman checking me in seemed to be having a bad day because he never once cracked a smile. The lobby was beautiful so I figured the rooms would be just the same!! Much to my surprise the rooms looked like I was staying at some run down hotel!! They also have 2 bottles of water in the room for $5 a piece & you are charged for them reguardless if you want them or not!! The only thing about our room I really enjoyed was the bed, bedding & the pillows! Don't expect to much from this hotel.
Not worth the money

I can't complain too much b/c this was a company paid trip. But, if it had been my own money I would have been terribly unhappy. The Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort looks fantastic from the outside, and from the lobby, but the rooms are just "okay". Yes, every room does have an ocean view, which is great, but some rooms are so far back that you can see the beach, but all you can hear are the people on balconies of the hotel directly next door. I could literally have a conversation with someone over there, so forget about walking around in your panties with the balcony door open. Also, we were assigned room #936, which we were very surprised to find, after walking down the hall past all the rooms, that the door to our room was OUTSIDE. It seemed more like we were entering the service area or something. The room was clean, but small, tiny bathroom, and NO BATHROBES as is advertised on their website. TV reception was crappy, and the radio on the alarm did not work. The bed was lovely, very comfy. Staff was not very friendly, I barely got a smile when walking past someone. Oh and, after receiving our keys, taking the elevator up to the 9th floor and then allllll the way down the hall, outside, and alllll the way to the end, we find out our keys don't work. A maid came to assist but just verified they didn't work and tells us to go back to the lobby. Very annoying with all of our bags.

I have stayed at a lot of Hiltons and higher end hotels across the USA, this place is the worst. The Hotel was dirty, the bathrooms in our suite was so nasty be checked out a day early. I would have a hard time believing this was a budget hotel: not a Hilton. The hotel needs a major overhaul and some serious cleaning.
The staff was rude, and we were told we could check out earlier due to our disappointmet....They still charged us for the second night and it took multiple calls and weeks to get the refund back.
DO NOT STAY THERE!
will stay hear again

We had sooo much fun. We got their early afternoon, before check-in, and they let us use the pool and all the facilities. It was very close to the ocean, just beautiful.
Not what I expected

We stayed in one of only a handful of suites which are actually two rooms with the connecting door left open. Unfortunately the suites only have a king sized bed, requiring two people to sleep in the sofa bed in the second room. The room and hotel require a major makeover (new paint, furniture, carpet, etc.) The staff is not very accomodating or friendly. I was expecting more of the southern hospitatliy that I usually experience in that area. The only positives include the beautiful ocean view, and amenities including poolside restaurant.
