The Hotel was so cozy and regal at the same time. The staff was so friendly! I loved it there! I would go back just to stay at that hotel. I cant say enough about it. We had breakfast there and the food was great and the service was great there too. I checked out the pool area and would have loved to have more time to spend there. It was a quick trip but I will be back!

Gorgeous rooms, great spa and golf. More of a romantic weekend for adults. Cocktails on the outdoor terraces in the evening were excellent. What a view, you do not feel like you are in Charlotte but still have the conveniences of upscale shopping and dining nearby.
The perfect birthday present

The weekend was a birthday gift from my husband (which he set up over the internet while deployed overseas) It was the best birthday I have ever spent by myself. The room is beautiful. The piano player in the evening was very good. The spa is INCREDIBLE! You must have a hot rock massage. Though I'm sure some families stay here I didn't see one child. The pool and hot tub were so relaxing. My husband is home now and we will be staying here again for our anniversary. For military couples - ask about the military discount. (Find a sitter and enjoy a perfect romantic retreat.) The discount is a real testiment to how much this resort supports the troops and their familes - THANK BALLANTYNE!
