Under New Management and then some!

I was passing through Albuquerque and needed a convenient cheap place to stay. I pulled off the I-40 at Tramway and was on old Route 66. There were several motels all in a row. I drove through a few of the parking lots and decided to keep looking. When I got to the Rodeway Inn, banners were posted "Under New Management" and as I passed through the parking lot, I noticed lots of open areas for cars, trucks and trailers. I also noticed a nice swimming pool and landscaping (not the typical "concrete jungle"). I also noticed the price was a few dollars less than the neighbors. I decided to check it out and when I walked in the reception area, I was greeted by friendly faces. It also apeared to be one of the new managers. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to accomodate my room preference so I decided to stay the night.
My overall experience was great. The typical cheap motel is nothing more than a bed and a shower for the weary traveler, this seemed to be just a little more than that. It was very obvious that the New Management team was serious about their endeavor and customer service was top priority. Granted, it is an economy limited service motel so I was not expecting room service and a bellman, but but what I was expecting, I was very pleased. Breakfast in the morning was light but enjoyable. The morning manager was as friendly and helpful as the night manager and as I was getting back onto the freeway, I knew if I were ever in the area again, I would head straight for the Rodeway Inn.

This hotel was convenient and cheap. But, there were cigarette burns in the sheets and pillows. Worst of all, the toilet was clogged. So, I called the front desk. They actually told me that they didn't have anyone to send up but I could come down and get a plunger!! Really?! I couldn't believe it. So I went about my day and called back later that night. Same response. Finally I gave in and got the plunger but couldn't unclog the toilet. So I went the rest of that night and the next morning without being able to use the toilet!!

I was surprised by this hotel because of cleanliness of parking lot as well as the rooms. I was there to stay only one night but then I decide to stay one more nights. Staff is so friendly and helpful and knowledgable as well. I recommend this hotel because of customer service, cleanliness of the hotel and most important the rate is so reasonable.

I had a good experience at the Rodeway Inn the price was reasonable and the rooms were nice a little small but nice. It is right off the interstate I-40 very conviently located. I would deffinetly stay there again.

For $* with a coupon, we got a sparsely furnished room with blood stains on the comforter, no clock, and no t.v. channel guide. The continental breakfast had VERY little choice between two cereals and two types of donuts. We ate at the Waffle House next door, instead.
