Extended continental breakfast?

This site lists an "extended" continental breakfast. Does this refer to the menu or the hours? We took it to mean an extended menu; Make your own waffles and some sort of breakfast meat, ham, sausage, etc. This has been typical at other similarly priced motels, both in this chain and others. The information guide in the room promised a "deluxe continental breakfast". What we got, as described by the placard in the lobby, was an "express" continental breakfast; juice, rolls, cold cereal, coffee, etc. Nothing cooked. This was put out 25 minutes late. Not too helpful when on a schedule. I guess the lesson here is to make your service descriptions ambiguous and not worry about delivering on them. Is breakfast that big of a deal? In this case, yes. We chose this motel based on location and availability of a good, quick breakfast. This was necessary for a speedy departure to the airport. BTW, Had a wonderful breakfast in Atlanta, during our layover. Also, computer at the business center was frozen. After re-starting the computer, service was interrupted repeatedly by a "searching for service" screen.

Adequate but......

My first impression was positive because the evening manager skillfully gave me directions. The room seemed comfy. The problems started when I went into the bathroom at 11:15. There was mold on the panel underneath the walls in the shower (I am allergic). My spouse was already in bed so I went and asked for bleach. Unfortunately there was none to be had. They offered two other rooms- one had small amounts; the other more. So we moved at 11:45. The new room was not really clean but I was able to clean the mold off with my trusty Lysol wipes and gloves supplied by the hotel. The room was not filthy- just not really clean. Then when we went back our second night we were locked out! Overall, the room was adequate and the staff VERY nice but I will probably not return to this hotel. I would recommend checking all of your room when you come in, especially if you have allergies.

Great staff, good value

We stayed here while in town to visit family. It was convenient to both downtown Pittsburgh and tons of shops and restaurants. The staff was great. Never had to ask for anything twice. Gave us great suggestions for things to do and even printed directions for us. Room was comfy, but small. Breakfast was your average continental breakfast, nothing special. Convenient to the highway and easy to get around.

Great hotel, better staff.

My wife and I stayed here the night before we flew out of Pittsburgh. Everything about this hotel was excellent, way above average. The room was sparkling clean in every corner. All linens smelled fresh and clean. All of the furniture was in great shape. Internet access was simple to connect to, and VERY fast. The staff were all great. From the person who checked us in, to the woman who drove us to the airport. I totaly liked how the check in area was a couple desks in an office. Not a big granite or laminate countertop at the entrance. That feature made it feel more like I was staying at someones house than a generic hotel stay. The morning continental breakfast was perfect! Bagels, toast, english muffins, yogurt, orange and apple jiuce, and coffee all around. Plenty of it too, and no one to chase you off after you had one serving. They had a TV on at low volume, and a few papers to read. Location is great too. It's 10 minutes from the airport, 20 from downtown Pittsburgh, and a large shopping mall is less than five minutes away. The hotel is about one minute off the freeway, but we never heard freeway traffic noise all night. Plus, they have a really nice half court basketball area that is lit up so you can play in the dark. We could not believe how great the hotel was for the price we paid. Usually this price range is dumpy hotels with all kinds of problems. NOT this hotel. This is the spot we are going to stay when we come to town for now on.

Efficiency well done

The room was like an efficiency appartment. The facility was clean and well-kept. The staff was friendly and efficient.
