The hotel is very kid freindly. On the weekend we stayed it was Easter, the hotel had the Easter bunny down in the cafe the kids had a great time. The pool is sometimes a little crowded bring your mp3 player, the noise just bounces off the walls. It is walking distance to downtown and all the muesums. The breakfast in the deli is great and reasonable. The staff was very helpful and the conceirge was a lifesaver.

Front desk staff was very friendly, professional and courteous. I did not use room service or the pool. Good selections from the menu and good fitness facility. Overall hotel experience met my standards.

Great Hotel, allowed us to check in more than 3 hours early. Nice location. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was awesome! There was a large variety, and on Sunday morning there were waffles and omelets! We will stay here again the next time we visit D.C. My only negative is that parking is extra, and can be a bit pricey.

Living so close to Washington, I have never stayed overnight there. The Grand Hyatt had an affordable package that included full breakfast for my husband and 2 daughters. Located at 10th and H Streets, it's convenient to the Circulator bus (get around town for $1), the National Mall (about 8 blocks away), the Spy Museum and National Portrait Gallery.
The front desk allowed us to check in 3 hours early. The room was well-appointed and large enough for 4 of us. The bathroom was definitely above the usual.
The staff were all very friendly, bringing us extra towels when we requested them, greeting us in the halls, etc. The breakfast was awesome! Beautifully presented buffet style, with none of those ugly steam trays. There was a large variety of baked goods, juices, cereals, yogurt, granola, eggs, etc.! Sunday morning there were waffles and omelets!
We had a great time.
